Well Che, it appears as though your thread is getting Fezzed, so I will try to see what a real response will do.
No doubt many on the right have problems with many of the actions Bush has taken. Certainly detaining Padilla indefinitely without charging him is one of the worst examples. However, keep in mind that in previous wars we have seen far greater abuses of civil liberties. And so far it seems most of their worst actions have been taken against suspected terrorists-- after all you and your far-lefty peoples are still able to rant on these forums. The sad thing is support for these kinds of authoritarian action seem bipartisan, the Dems did vote for the PATRIOT act after all so I don't think withdrawing support for Bush would do anything. The main reason I still support Bush though is because I want to see a ban on partial birth abortion and have pro-life justices appointed to the supreme court. Also, I feel an agressive foreign policy is nessecary in dealing with the opponents- we have to crush threats before they come at us, we can't wait for disasters to strike.
I don't think defection against Bush will be serious. In the 2002 election Bush got very strong support and turnout from his conservative base.
Oh, and Fez, if you don't have anything add besides "that article is a load of crap", don't add anything at all.
