Many of my early works are unmistakable crap, so I'm in the process of updating the more unsightly ones. Of course sometimes I only seem to make them worse

I have a problem, I have a lot of units, but even when I change the advances to stop them from becoming obsolete, they don't show up on the unit selection screen, whats causing this?
And has anyone got those units?
