Every man needs a well cut suit. Go to a place that knows what they're doing for a suit, you know with the little old fella in the corner who looks at you once, grabs a couple of things from the racks, and it fits like a glove. And with your height - suits are great.

Get a couple of good shirts with collar, good jeans and decent shoes and you're set. In daily life I still wear the jeans/hoodie/trainer look though, that's the whole athlete thing that has been with me for the last 12 yrs or so. I am 6'5" as well and I prefer the slightly baggy look, but go for what you feel comfortable in.

panag, if the clothes do not have the insignia on them then it is not a problem here too. you can wear them freely.

but, for the coat, (which is a great heavy navy coat) it has the symbol of the greek military navy on its buttons. and someone told me (forgot who) that that's not OK either (since it has the symbol).

i dont imagine anyone would bother doing anything any way even if he has the authority and see you with it. just tell you not to wear it again probably.

Aah where do I start?

I'm a tall man with grey-blue eyes and I'll teach you fool peasant how to dress!

Gucci sunglasses- as you want to cover your eyes from sunburns and look at girls' breast without being noticed
(note- I'm gay, wonder what I look instead )

Be dark! As you want people to think you're either a mystery man or a voyeur

Khaki/dark brown/cinnamon pants and some fitting clothes

What else? A belt of course- stick your fingers on it and walk around playing rude and manly, whoa

Look at you, look! Wouldn't you pork yourself if you only could?

there is a law in the United States too that deals with civilian clothings. But they are not enforced and cannot be because of the way that the law is written (civilian SHOULD not wear flags on their bodies, etc.)

Under US law, technically, wearing US flag on the body should be considered unpatriotic.

Law also advises against selling of military insignia and uniform imitations and surplus, but they also cannot be enforced and will not be because of the way the law is written.

Az, I recommend getting a girlfriend and having her choose your clothes. Apparently my looks received an astonishing upgrade from that process.

A bit of a Catch 22 obviously, but you could always employ platonic female friends to do this for you instead.

I considered doing this, actually. . But then, I'd feel so lame. I have no feelings for her but, this would be embarassing.

speaking of military clothing, I still have all my navy clothing. We're not required to turn them back in. With the excpetion of some issued clothing like coats. Although I was never issued my camo coat, I had to buy that.

I really should give my pea coat to the homeless or something. I'll never wear it. It is an expensive wool coat. Even when I was in the service I never wore it. Well I did once. I prefer lighter coats even if it is ice cold outside. I hate bulky clothing.

I still have my jungle camoflauge clothing as well that I wore while in security division on temporary duty.

I actually bought a jungle camoflauge jacket because they wouldn't give me one . And it was too cold to be outside in virginia in the winter with no coat. Although I did try it for a while; long johns have their limitations.

I don't know why I keep my military clothing. I did love being in the military, I just didn't like living in Virginia. Mississippi was a little better, but not much.

Anyways back to civilian clothing. I do dress better than I used to, but I still wear jeans too much. I want to dress better to make it look like I'm rich. Which I kind of am even though I live in a poor neighborhood . I am very good at investing money.

but I still dress too poor. It doesn't help me with the ladies. Yeah I don't want a woman who wants to be with me if I'm rich, but well you get the picture. Marriage is a form of prostitution anyways . Unless the chick makes more money than you, then the man is the prostitute .

hehe, I thought about wearing a whole bunch of gold chains like Mr. T. But I figure that would just get my ass beat and have them taken away.

I do wear a nice watch, but it isn't a rolex or anything. I do have a cellphone, but not a fancy one .

I also still wear sneakers/running shoes. So I need to improve my pants, and shoes. I do wear nice shirts, but they aren't brand name, and aren't silk or anything fancy like that.

If you really want to look good and fashionable the easy (and expensive way), just go to American Eagle or the GAP or something. Pretty much anything in there will be good. Or better yet, have your girlfriend or a girl friend go with you.

Not that all my clothes are from there, but I do own a few things for when I need to look nice.

I don't think that describing "personality" is so ****ing important too, Richard. does che walk around with a che T-shirt? must MtG wear a pseudo-military outfit?

I dress according to taste, and what looks good on me, and feels good on me. Making a statement....

....that's just for crazy french high fashion designers.
