	The Apolyton Fashion Club: Help needed. Get a bigger avatar today!

Now here's the deal, people.
I've realized that I need a new wardrobe: school is over, this is the beginning of the real-life. you can't get too far with sweat-shirts, and a pair of jeans, can you? Also, I want to look good and successfull.

so, as a tall man with dark hair, and grey-blue eyes. what do you think I should wear? Dress me!

specific questions:
-----------------------
*I have bought myself a long black coat. I always wanted one, and finally, I have it. What trousers, shorts and shoes go together with this one?

*Also: neck-sweathers. are they 'ok' to wear? are the "hot", or are they 'NOT!'?

*Hairstyles: what's the best hairstyles.

*last but not least : Facial hair. what. when. and how much.

Advices from knowledgable apolytoners would be very much apperciated

I suggest button up shirts. The color and pattern are yours to choice but by and large a man looks more distinguished in a button up shirt.

The colour is my biggest concern, actually. I have no Idea what to wear. So far, I had the following sets:

"Redneck":
-------------
A Pair of brown leather boots.
A Pair of light blue jeans.
A white T-shirt.
A checkered shirt, not buttoned.
also,
a brown leather jacket.

"Plain":
---------
A pair of pale-dark-blue/gray sneakers.
A pair of light gray baggy trousers/ dark blue baggy trousers.
A T-Shirt
A black jacket above it.

"Homeless?"
----------------
A pair of the same sneakers as above.
A pair of jeans.
A Sweatshirt.
A VERY humble short coat, dark blue.
a black ski cap.

"It's friday night":
----------------------
A pair of Jeans.
A good T-Shirt.
A a black shirt above it. buttoned/unbuttoned.
A long black coat.
A pair of black shoes.

This are very fluid definitions, but generally this is it.

This is obviously not enough. I want another two: a stylish one, and an ultra-modern one.

Paiktis: I have personal style. I was only hoping people would give me good advices, as to what would be best to wear, and how would be best to dress myself. I will be the one to make the choices at the end. right?

Ehm, style? I just wear any clothes I have with any other clothes I have and I mix it all the time, so I don't look the same every frikking day!!


I don't necessarily wear jeans actually, they usually don't fit that good, I like it a little looser, with softer materials

is your coat open ended on top or not etc
there are just too many things to mention (not to mention that the vocabulary to describe them is a problem too)

As a general advice I'd say watch the colours.
Make sure they fit with eachother.

and it dependson what you want.

do you wantthe sophistacted look with mostly dark colours, overlapping thin "sweeters" etc

do you want the "bright" style with bordeaux (blunt red) shirt and anthrax ("dusted" white) trousers?

it all depends.

But I think (and Im not an expert in any way) that the most important thing is to watch for the colour combinations.

you having style , it will tell you what to wear with what and what not to combine.

It depends on how I feel. Just like in musical tastes, I can feel great in many different clothes. I like classy clothes, in which I prefer the 20+ look, youth and respectability. and I sometimes like "hipp"er, more 'teenage' clothes.

It's real hard for me, because I don't subscribe myself to any particular youth subculture, so I can't just go and wear their uniforms. Being an individual sucks.

I understood that but this thread really is odd... i mean most guys dont go onto a site asking what they should wear (you're a big boy now) and talking about their wardrobe and all their little outfit sets...

nevertheless, i will help you out by telling you what boys be wearing here. I know you won't wear this **** and you probably won't find it in israel but what the hell?

Baggy blue jeans is most common (also black jeans), with plain white or black t-shirts (Extra Long/Tall [note not extra large. Foot lockers and boys at train stations here in philly got that X-LT ****]). Jerseys are common too. Though I live in philly, a lot of boys be rocking Oakland Raiders hats with black rags underneath thats bigger than that old 2pac-style rags cause they cover the whole top of your head. Boys wear that probably cause it matches with the black tees and jeans. Cause it's winter, most boys wear coats... the big thick joints with the big furry hoods or they rock them diamond-pattern coats (forget what they called now. but it's a specific brand). Shoes is everything from Iversons to New Balance ****.

Someone I know once called that the ghetto uniform cause every boy just about wears that ****.

yeah i also think it looks a bit gay, especially the white trousers part (anthrax is not all white)

Actually, you can get most of them here, Albert. not sure about the X-LTs .

I have a friend that dresses in a similar fashion, but no rag, NY cap, and a jacket.

But here, in Israel, classy clothes are the deal. Israel even exports some of it into central and eastern europe, f.e. Kenvelo is an Israeli brand, might be familiar to some of you if you visit chech republic or something.


Anyway, I am NOT asking you people WHAT SHOULD I WEAR. fashion tips can hardly be considered "what should I wear". All I wanted to know is what kind of pants can go with that long black coat of mine.

black pants would go with a black coat... hell every colour would go with black. but anyway, do you be spending most of your time outdoors? if not, than you dont need your coat to match with **** to be honest. anyway, yall wear coats in Israel? i thought it was kind of warm being on the mediterrenean and practically in the desert

I'd prefer Red to bordaux.

I take a red T-shirt, put on a Khaki shirt, and a set ot blue Jeans, and I am all set. But this is good for... going on lectures, to work, and stuff like that. I am talking parties and things like that.
