Since the voting is of now evenly split among 3 candidates, I'll take this opportunity to provide a short speech:
Members of Apolyton!
Some Civ3 critics say that the game is nothing more than glorified unit movement, that all you need to do to win is be a bloodthirsty warmonger. Perhaps the Apolyton Team will decide to be such a bloodthirsty warmonger. But the critics are wrong! True success in this game is built upon a strong economic foundation. War and diplomacy play their part, but each are easier with a strong production and commercial base.
Thus I step forward to take on the great responsibilty of Minister of the Interior. Many silently ask: "Who is this Dominae?", "Is Dominae male or female?", "What does he/she know?", "Why is he/she better than the other candidates?". I can only offer a definitive answer to the second question (PM me).
But I can attempt to answer the third. My experience in the Strategy forum here at 'Poly in the past year or so has taught me many things about the game, things which we can leverage to our advantage. 'Poly is where all the good strategy either begins or gets refined. Although I am no expert by any means, I am aware of all the issues and know where to turn to find a reliable information.
I am not afraid to micro-manage, since I believe this tool is a powerful one in the early stages of the game. But I am afraid to alienate other Citizens and the Consuls with too many technicalities. Thus I am committed to deep analysis, but to-the-point reporting.
I am also committed to working as a team. I promise to look over and test out all economic options, and attempt to refine the one the team decides upon, be it hordes of Mercs. or the Great Library. As I said, I am no expert, and will rely heavily upon the input of everyone on this team. Only in this way will the Consuls' decisions be truly informed.
Although we probably will not be going to war for some time, we will be fighting a battle from turn 1: an economic battle. I hope to advise the Consuls so that they may see us through to victory.
Apolyton!
Oh, and let me say that the other two candidates are excellent choices. In fact, if I lose this poll, I'll be happy since our team will still be in good hands and I'll have more time for RL.

Wow. I have never seen an exact three way tie in a DG before. (10-10-10, as I write this)
Perhaps instead of a "Minister of the Interior", the Consuls should create a "Ministry of the Interior", and appoint all three to it. There isn't much to plan right now, but as we all know from other games, it will grow very quickly.
I don't know if this would be acceptable under the constitution, but I don't really care either - we should do whatever is best for the game/team!

Is it bad form for me to vote in this poll? I have not voted yet...
