OOC: A World History Book, or Enciclopeadia Brittanica! In World War I the germans buildt a Artillery piece that fire on Paris from many miles away. A Russian reported that he had seen a BIG Sized German artillery piece. In response Nicholas I tried to break the German advance into Russian. So he had the world started a progect to make a bigger artillery peice than the Germans. So he start to build a mile long turret for the artillery. He had the workers lay out the long pipes out in a field as they were buildt, while that was 8 large iron wheels were in production and buildt into a large cart. Since the Communist Revolution began, all because the German secretly transported Lenin back to Moscow. The cart was destroyed by Communist revolutionaries who thought it was some part of a secret weapon. The pipe that was laid out was thought to be for a new plumming system for drainage for the factories. Once again in modern times Saddam Hussien tried to builded it, because he remembered it from history, but of course the Brittish stop sending the resources to him so that he could not longer builded it. OOC: Wrnagler: I looked up 'Big Bertha' (the name of the German 'supegun') in Encyclopaedia Britannica, and it mentioned nothing about any kind of Russian response to it, nor were they even close to 1 mile long. The ones developed in 1918 (by which time the Czars had been overthrown anyway) were about 10 metres or so long, and they had to be palced on special platforms before they could fire. A 1 mile long gun would be far too heavy to do that practically, and it would also be far too heavy to fire on the rails.

As for Saddam's supergun - that wasn't close to 1 mile long either.

And I'm not picking on your posts, but you're the only one who has tried to invent a superweapon that never existed.

I know that it is possible to make such a huge gun. Saddam tried to but failed. I dont know how long it was suppost to be. All that it would allow the gun to do would have a really long range, but you would have to put it on the side of a mountain. I think it would be possible to make such a gun in 1920, the only thing is that you would have to have it on a mountain, cause their would be no way to raise the barrel of gun. You could put it on rail road tracks and use that as the recoil system.

I try and find out if these gun really existed, but I doubt that the Russians built it, but I dont know.

OOC: Well, it might be possible, but it wouldn't be worth it. For one thing, the barrel would probably collapse under it's own weight, and if you put it on the side of a mountain (as you suggested) then it would be basically impossible to aim.

The German Krupp works are now beginning a project to dsign an artillery piece capable of firing over 100 km, which has been nicknamed the 'Big Bertha'. This should be complete within 2 years.

((OOC: Mile long gun barrel? It couldn't fire artillery of any great size, and it would be aimed at the same spot constantly, he can build it, but the cost to manufacture and use it would far outweigh any benefits it would lend, he'd probably be able to fire it once per day IRL just because they would constantly have to check for warping in the barrel, consistency of metals at that size is in question, especially with no centralized manufacturer of the materials.)))

News:
Ottoman troops and its navy has arived in north america. The navy has a large number of destroyers to counter the subs in the region. The navy is going to fight the brazilian navy through hit and run tactics never staying long enough to get fully engaged it will stay like this till the other navys can help. The troops are being deployed to the mexican boarder to push the mexicans back and protect america.

Sorry if I didn't update yerstuday, but I was going to the birthday party of one friend of mine

American War Update
A joint attack of French, Italian, Austrian, Ottoman, and last, but not least, American ships, which concentrated on the island of Haiti managed to break through the AA Fleets, and than push the Brazilian back into Venezuelan ports.

The Attack proved succesful thanks to the new and fresh forces provided by the entrance in the war of the Ottoman Empire and of France.

However, on the other hand, finally the Spanish Navy arrived in South America to give support to the AA (Spanish Navy is Large, and their Army is Medium).
Which attacked the other fleets from behind, sinking a large number of ships, however they had to withdraw very soon into Trinidad and Tobago before being destroyed by the reaction of the other European fleets.

On land the Americans, with help from Austrians, Ottoman and Italians have slowly advanced into Mexico, but because of heavy trench warfare the border did not moved by much, and many soldiers were killed only to gain a few meters here and a few meters there.

Do to the naval victories and the freeing of the seas the Ottomans have come up with a new plan they are taking all uneeded troops and putting them on ships and shiping them to the southern mexican coast along the gulf to suround and cut off the mexican troops.

Portugese Naval facilities have been working 24/7 on shipbuilding for the past year, Portugal's large navy will be huge in six months, and is heading to aid the Cubans.

Citizens of portugal are enlisting in record numbers due to the threat of invasion from Italy or the Ottoman Empire. A ban has been placed on goods from those two nations throughout the lands of Portugal, and citizens of those countries are being deported. Diplomats of those countries are still allowed within Portugese borders, but they have a large number of armed portugese guards following them everywhere.

To Italy and the Ottomans, you must stop your warmongering actions against the Americans we understand your fear of the AA, but that threat is now neutralized with the loss of Argentina to Civil War, and Brazil's recent defeat. Let the Mexicans have their initial borders, tell the Americans to back off, and let us get the people home without having to fire our weapons in anger. Our people are aware of what you are attempting to do, and imperialism will no longer be tolerated in the Americas as long as Portugal has a say in it.

Portugal Stats:
Navy: Large (additional small navy on loan to Cuba) huge in 6 months.
Army: Medium (volunteers will make this large in 1 year)
Air Force: small

Summary of action.
Navy is now completely in Carribean fighting on Cuba and Brazil's behalf.

Cuban forces resort to guerilla warfare on the isle of Haiti. The forces that landed there shouldn't be able to get very far, as the cuban army is superior in local tactics of warfare, seeing as how they had very recently established control there.

Cuban troop movements are still unhindered by the blocading forces, the Cubans know the waters too well.

Cuba would like a list of who is in favor of the Cuban peace terms, which are more than reasonable.

Mimicking Portugal, Cuba has also expunged Italian and Ottoman citizens from it's isles. This amounted to one guy named Ricardo rowing to an italian troopship in a leaky boat, but it was still a good time.

Cuban ships flank attack the force invading Haiti.

Cuban subs have that force surrounded, and are asking for a surrender within 6 mos.

Brazil begins sending Two ARmy Groups to the Mexican front along with multiple tank divisions to help tip the Mexican frontlines in favor of their allies.

With a group of newly built battleships, Brazil launches another attack on enemy forces. Surrounding and destroying enemy forces on islands and coasts.


Another battleship group are ordered to slowly keep an eye on advancing Ottoman ships approaching the southern mexican coast. And as they send in the transports to land, several submarine groups are to take them out as they sail towards the coast, planes are also to strafe them. Once they do that, the Battleship groups are to attack the Ottoman naval ships from behind.

(Giovanni, let me know about this mission's success...)
