It's been quite a quest trying to get ahold of a copy in Las Vegas so far, but it looks like I'll get a copy tonight. Amazon.com listed it as available now, but didn't ship my order, and shipping was more than sales tax, so I decided to get it locally, cancelling my preorder.
Wednesday and Thursday, Best Buy was useless, refusing to comit to an in-store pickup until they had shipped all their preorders. So I called CompUSA. They're automated system said that they had the game in stock, so I headed over there. Couldn't find it in the store, so I ask at the information desk. According to what they pulled up in the computer, that store doesn't even STOCK the game, it's only available by special order or online.
So, I resigned myself to possibly not playing MoO3 for a few more weeks. Of course, this morning when I checked BestBuy.com, they said that the online store was out of stock (same as yesterday), but unlike yesterday, the local stores supposedly had stock that they would use for in-store pickup of online orders. So, expecting this to be a snafu, I ordered it, figuring that at the worst, I would get told when it was in stock and have a copy set aside for me. Well, by the time I made it to work, I had an email telling me that my copy was set aside. So, after all the work, and then resignation, now I'm stuck with 9 more hours of anticipation. I can live with that.

Australia will get it on Monday I have been told (by EB in Melbourne). So much for a world release date.

I picked up a copy yesterday from the Walmart in Warminster, PA for $49.33. Interesting thing though, it was not in with the other "new" releases, just in with the older stuff.

I got a preorder from amazon for me bday last december (good grief) and I still have no game (although I *think* it looks certain to get here monday).
That is kinda crappy logistics considering some of the games best fans probably preorder and then get burned on the timeline. They should allow mail order ops a day or two head start at least.

Well I got it last Friday at compusa, for $49.99 US dollars. I checked at gamestop before I went to compusa, they said they did not get it yet, but I think the guy I asked just had no clue. Since I check their website and it said the store had 1 to 3 copies in, so i think they just sold out. When I went to compusa they had 13 copies of MAster Of Orion, or at least started out with 13. When I came there were still a lot left.
