I'm not sure but I think my PTW says all PBEM's are Regent yet the one I looked at seemed to be Chieftain from the number of content citizens.

I suggest we carry on with the set that are doing the rounds. As I commented earlier it is the same for all of us.

Play the four games and then send them to ormuzd. The e-mail address is in the first post of the thread.

Then cast your votes by sending a private message to alva (you have 40 points which you can give to the games).

I've got the saves. Why did I get the russians? I specifically asked for the germans a long time ago, (somewhere in the first pages of this thread).

I'll PM Alva a bit later (in a few hours). I was just leaving when I checked my mail.

Edit: Nevermind. I just realized that I have different civs in all of the saves. I didn't know it was going to be a random civ choice.

It's really strange why alva decided to make random civs. Everyone (except zeit) has specified his favorite civ. I had in one save zulu and in another the americans. I don't like both of them. But if it seems I'll have to play with zulu. Interesting choice for a peaceful player

I am a bit torn really. I am having trouble coming to terms with the fact that I voted to play the English but they did really have a superb starting position. As it is it looks like I will have the Aztecs. Not one of my favourite civs so I will look to take that out on someone.

Anyone already have any idea on how we are going to decide teams?

we could use points I guess. IE, combining the lowest and the highest by a certain date.

There is more to it than points. If you are on a peninsular you may, or alternatively may not, want to ally with your only border nation for example. A vote for who we want to be with would be difficult as most will want to be with the strongest player.

So I suggest that we each assign a value to a player on how good we think their position is. As we did with the maps.

Automatically from that the #5, #6 and #7 are put together, #1 goes with #4 and #2 goes with #3 (as an example). Or we could arrange it so that all teams have similar points score per the tally vote.

I would say no later than 500BC. We can vote as early as we like; provided we have at least 5, say, people agreeing to vote.
