Anyone else see it?
It kept mentioning how the japenese goverment currently has 1600 U.n. peace keepers around the world and was a 2 minute commerical saying YEY FOR JAPAN!
HOWEVER it was a whole humanitarian angle, it wasent trying to encourage buisnesses to go there or anything.......I dont undserstand WHY they would do this type of advertisment-do many Americans dislike Japan?
I didnt think they needed to try to make their image better in the U.S......most americans like Japan, no?

I am watching Fox because I dont get BBC(which is my favorite news reporters.....I care more about global news instead of U.S. and the BBC usually covers global news better) except on the weekends and I dont like listening to ultra ultra ultra liberal propaganda on CNN or MSNBC.

NOTE: I usually think anyone who labels someone a conservative or a liberal and hates them on that basis is a complete idiot-my views are VERY mixed but as far as news reporting goes I tend to side with the conservative media for my news-though I think Rush Limbaugh is an idiot.

i beg to differ. i consider myself a moderate liberal, and i enjoy watching, reading and thoughtfully discussing the news.
indeed, i find some talk radio to be interesting, and a fertile ground for discussion.
however, i've never listened to rush limbaugh; i've heard only sean hannity, and his oozing adoration for ann coulter has permanently soured any interest i may have had in regularly listening to him.
the reason why fox has made such gain is not because of its conservative-ness. rather, i believe it's because of its format; it's far punchier, more oriented towards sound-bites and clever reports. the interviewing style of o'reilly is more aggressive and shorter than the generally more relaxed attitude larry king takes.
this is also why conservative columnists and radio shows do better.
this is also why the so-called "liberal media establishment" has tried to adopt much of fox's format: from the punch, loud, and explosive graphics (see CNNHN), to the time-limited and aggressive interviews (see MSNBC's Hardball), and more sound bites overall.
which is why, alas, i've resorted to mainly reading print media and online media. less attention-grabbing, blaring, noisy graphics. less bites. more thoughtful reporting, with longer sentences.
it's a nice change.

I should say...More Americans get their news from FOX than from anybody else.
August, never saw anything like that on FOX.

Drake is right. Why would Japan make a feel good about us commercial?
Maybe they want us to feel good about them and buy more Hondas?
