Dear Lord Togas, I agree that we should keep an eye on people who might have foolish notions and ideas, but I do believe that the Academia will be all the better with such dissidents along with the rest of us.
In fact allowing them to express themselves here will actually make it all the easier for us to keep an eye on them.
That is why I request that you do not outlaw or arrest those who may bring forth thought of folly or even treason. We need to know what such people are thinking and thus they should be allowed to express themselves freely here without risk of punishment (observation of course is another matter entirely)

LzPrst, be rational, one does not think about treason in la Academia, one does not talk about treason in la Academia. Any speculations on this issue are not relevant.

BTW, Why would freedom of speech be allowed in la Academia, but not outside it? If you allow it in the Academia, you should allow it everywhere throughout the empire.

What one man may deem as sound innovative thinking another may regard as treason. Therefore freedom of speech should be allowed in la Academia.

However, if free speech was allowed throughout the land anything could be shouted from the rooftops causing resentment and strife. If such things are regulated and exist in a controlled yet not "enforced" environment it would save us a lot of potential problems.
We would of course establish more Academies in time but for now we need one as a testing ground for the free and creative thinkings of our people.

As you may know, my great grandfather, the first jdjdjd de jdjdjd was quite mad from the spirits of the Ale House, but he did talk quite clearly of gods he had heard before living in Espana. He died at the hands of a lightening bolt, after he denounced his beleifs in the gods of Olympus, this was the work of Zeus, leader of the gods.

I have travelled with my grandfather, the late jdjdjd de barcelona, while he was Ambassador to the people of the Invincible Light; and have heard similar tales of these gods. Zeus, their leader, rules the heavens, and there many humans who have died spend their after life days in quite pleasant comfort. Then there are those who have angered the gods in their life and they are sent to a horrible place ruled by the god, Hades. One man their has been punished for eternity and must roll a boulder up a hill, and before he gets to the top the boulder goes back to the bottom and he must roll it up the hill again. Terrible retribution one will pay if he angers the gods.

Then there is a third god, brother to Zeus and Hades. His name is Poseidon, he is god of the Seas. I have seen his work in my days at the beaches near Barcelona. He has made all sorts of great creatures of the sea, including our beloved squid. I have seen him angry and he can stir the sky and the waters to make great havoc on us mere mortals. He can be a great enemy, but he can be a great friend as well. He love Espana, and protects over the great Spanish people. It is clear he has blessed us.

My great grandfather may have been a drunk but he was quite in tuned with the gods that watch over us. And if he had not been forced by the horrible High Priest to recant his beleifs, he would have never met with such a terrible fate. I pray Hades has been benevolent to him.

So, I, jdjdjd de Barcelona, III, say without hesitation that there is a life after death. The man who is brave and does not anger the great gods of Olympus shall spend eternity in bliss. I say to all Spaniards, we are especially blessed, because not only are we brave and a wonderous site for the gods of Olympus to be proud, but also we have become the favorite children of the great and powerful Poseidon, Lord of the Sea that surrounds us.

Praise Lord Poseidon and plea he remain generous and benevelont to all Espana and to our Grand Lord Togas, Ruler of all Espana. Some day senores we shall embark on the sea and Poseidon will guide us and show us the glory of all the world.

No, I have compared it to some stones from the Visigothic writings, and specially after talking for hours vith some of the Visigoth slaves, and it is a language tehy have never heard about. Also, I know persian and CHinese, and it is neither. And it does not looks like Arab writing, so I am totally confused.

I´ve found the translation, and it is weird, i t is something like ´´The godfather and his fighter son, I found it written on a cave, on the walls, with a translation to arab and chinese under it, but no clue to the origin of it. Right now I am trying to find a pattern in this to translate the rest of the text.

I know of what you speak! I have many times in my dreams been visited by a great brightness with a voice speaking so loudly that my ears want to fall off.
I have seen legions of winged men battling great monsters and all the while I hear the voice.
"I am the Metatron! The Voice! "

Then I awake in the dark...
I believe this to be a god trying to contact us. I will have to look further into this. I'll try to open a portal to his realm shortly.

Educated slaves can be less dependant of commands.
Yesterday, I was looking at a slave camp, and the slave chiefs had to command every litle action of the slaves, telling thema how to plow the land efectively, how to effectively seed the fields, how to ´´dig that g*damn hole, you weak-minded visigoth!´´ in the words of a local slavechief.
And we could diminish the number of structural mistakes in our buildings, and cut the waste of matterials caused by unproper use of ´em.
We ahve nothing to loose and everything to gain from it.

I apologise for being so late, I was recovering from the battle against the republicans and after that I was advising High King Augusto Togas on the issue of the judicial system.

I have a very controversial issue trhat will give a lot of discussion:
A fiew days before the Big Revolt, I was traveling to Arabia to see if my dyes trade was going well. There I heard very strange rumours. In a land overseas and far away, people claim to have found a religion with only one god. They call him the Almighty or Jahwe.

What do you think? Is it possible that only one god exists or ar these people just pagans?

I was thinking about that so controversial stone I found.... The Fathergod.... sounds like a master of gods, or such,
What if All those gods aren´t but other appearances of the father-of-all that demonstrates its will through other beings... until he think it is time to show his true nature.
Of course, we can dispensate that babling about this being a voice that leads the world. That is just too dumb. But, maybe there is a father god, maybe even a mercyfull one, above! And, according to my studies, the Spaniards can be his Fighting son, created by him, and destined to be the divine sword of his Faith!

Well...the family secret has to be revealed now. The prophecy has been fulfilled.
