Was it not said by the Lord himself in Matthew 16:18;
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

There is more to the testament of faith than simply the gospels. Read this:

£/#$ And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

£/#€ These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

£/#{ And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

£/#[ Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake...

Note what I have underlined. There is more to come from the holy Lord, in writing and in Acts. My friend in Araby, Teophilus has sent me the first part of a letter to him concerning the works of the disciples and apostles, and I intend to have it admitted to the gospels as part of the Holy Scripture for so I have been instructed to do by the Holy Ghost!

And to prove that I am not possessed by the devil, hear these words of the prophet Joel.

1:1 The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.

2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Sorry to keep you waiting so long senor de Nunez, but I was preaching last days and after that I was mosty in the Vatican. You have a point, I can't deny that.

Like several more times in the Bible, it contradicts itself.

SHooo! There are churches all around! Go and pray and study there!
Why don´t we talk about this so said Engineering?
Or about this Feudalism economical system?
Or maybe this chivalric code of conduct for our warriors?

Sure, Winterus. By the way...my Private Messenger is dying of pneumonia because you didn't answer your door in the rain. Let the poor guy in, for gosh sakes...or at least let him carry back a letter to me.

As for Chivalry...I've been chivalrous long before they ever came up with this Code. All I know is that, for some reason, until people see it, they can't figure out how to put iron on and ride a horse at the same time.

Chivalry will be truly a development for our nation.
When our soldiers are not only strong, fast and deadly but virtous and honorable as well, then truly can we be proud of our military.
A soldier has great strengths and much power over those weaker than he, yet he must learn to use it wisely and honorably. If not he is merely a tyrant.
When our men of arms adhere to a higher code of morality and not merely the of the orders of their superiors, then they are truly blessed by God and not merely by their commanders.

Tired of ads?

Gag me with a spoon. Nunez, old chap, look at what you did to my shirt! Ruined! I hope the stain gets out...but...ick!

Oh well...at least my beretta is OK. I'm very protective of my clericals.

And by the way, yes, these are the symptoms of the plague. Indeed, I only came back from the Squidimark, where my family has been suffering from this same terrible plague. Indeed, the decimation is terrible. It'll never be the same.

However, I think our alchemist, Dr. Pinch, a learned scientist, theorizes that the plague came from Senor Plague Rat's vermin pets, that escaped from their cages, and mated with wharf rats, thus bringing in the plague from Arabia. In fact, he also tells me that the mating has resulted in the most terrible thing on earth other than the kraken...the Mutated Colossal Rat of Death!!! That's right...more than eight feet tall, these nasty buggers are now crawling around below our feet...waiting for the right moment to cough on you...and infest you with the PLAGUE!!!

As Doctor of the Church...I am officially putting a quarantine on the Academia. Everyone here right now has to stay in here until the plague dies down. Can't go around infesting Madrid. Oh, and I don't count. Don't worry, I'll visit you guys every morning with some squid and wine.

Urggh....
what happened? you all look so worried, what's wrong?
oh, the blood. and the coughing, i'm sorry but i should have told you. I am so old now that I dont have much time left, but there was so much to do I felt I could never retire. I have lived so long I remember the times before our king, before our coming to the proper faith and even times *cough*cough* before that.
but now the Lord has decided that my time is over and some other must take the role of the voice of calm and peace in the Academica.
I have long taught my brothers grandchildren in the great works of old and shown them as much as I can. I ask that you admit my great-great grand-nephew as a full-fledged member of Academia. You may test him, but he will prove his worth here. Now I wish to rest finally.

what do you mean we cannot leave? the plague? nonsense, I'm just old dammit. the spots? you get such things when you pass five hundred! *cough* *cough* oh very young, what will you leave us this time?
regardless, I choose to die here then where my life's work is. goodbye all my fellow thinkers, I will see you all again.

*closes eyes and lays back*

*Whipping off the dust...*
Oh my holy Jesus! How much dust! The people have abandoned this place... this so said middle ages have emptyed the academy!
All people want to do nowadays is to talk about fights and wars... and so many lords disapearing... makes me think there is some sort of evil guild hijacking people. I´ve heard around here and there that this guild is labeled after the intials R.L , though what they mena I do not know... well, let me go back to cleaning this place.
Ah, by the way, we from the academy are looking for those interested in the arts of alchemy, anatomy and astronomy, and also in the arts of finances. Artists and politicians are welcome too. Have a nice day

Actually, most of the philosophical and political discussion is now going on at the Abbey, I think. Have you applied? I think with a shaved head, one of your sons could get in as a friar, old chap. I'm thinking of sending my nephew to advance your cause for the army of the Pope down there.

As for alchemists, watch out. The last one I tried turned some cinnabar into squid. The idiot said it would become gold. I can only suggest that he is either the biggest idiot in Madrid, or the greatest genius. However, I think I might make some imitation cinnabar to boost the squid trade. What do you think?
