What's more frightening now, is the bloody vendetta tradition...
Don Plaguátes is now rallying his best men. An eye for an eye, and a squid for a squid... The raging Don says the Winterius family will have to pay in blood this time, and not in squids.

[private letter to Don Plagiatez]

First, let me say I've never personally had any disputes with you, sir. Indeed, we have had some good business, traded a couple of squids once and a while. In fact, you've had me over for a cup of mead sometimes. You are one of the most respected of the heads of the twenty-five families.

But let me tell ya this. You see...the Winterius family...they've always been friends...they're practically paisan. If anyone declares war on them, they are my enemies. You'd be nothing to me anymore. Not a friend, not a brother, nothing.

Enclosed is a treaty to officially end the vendetta between the Winterius family and your own. Sign it. If you do, I know I have a friend. If you don't...I'll know I won't.

But remember that this message is being delivered by my butler's brother-in-law...Luca Bratzi.

I must tell you this, either your signature, or your brains will be on this paper.

It's an offer you can't refuse.

*The old Don Plaguates sits on his hacienda veranda, writing a letter:*

Don Calamari, compadre... On my later days I have converted to Christianity. Unfortunately, my son did not. But don't you know this is the duty for me as the family head? Please don't interfere in a feud between the two families. You have nothing to gain by doing so. We have nothing to lose, but our honour... If you want this to be a bloodshed, allright. It's your call, comprende? I have always respected all the noble families in this country, and indeed the Calamaris! If you want the vendetta to end soon, then you should stay out of it and let us do the one single hit that our code of honour require. Threats will get you nowhere. One thing is clear and we all know it: One of the Winterius family must go... either it is Nuclearis III, Catherina, or another member. It's bad, but its the culture. It will be silent, quick, discreet... and afterwards we can all forget this and turn to our clerics and pay indugancies.

- Yours truly, Don "Giovanni" Plaguates

Listen Plagiates,
I am an old clanmaster and did no mistake on this one. I slayed your relative by beheading ´cause it is just waste of time to give a PAGAN an honored death. Why should I? He is purging in Infierno right now. But you are a civilized catholic, so come and fight a Spaniard´s fight with me. Don´t touch Nuclearis the III or Catherina! Your problem is with me!
And I tell you, if you dare to touch a single hair of them, I shall end your clan all by myself. And remember that calling outlanders is FORBIDDEN by the King!
Anyway, where was you when the revolution was raging against the king in Madrid?I don´t remember seeing you. Anyway, I respect you, and would agree to end this peacefully, without demanding reparations from your family. Though If you decide to go through the way of arms then so shall be it.

Señores, you are both children of the almighty God, your father in heaven, like we all are. You are both brothers of each other and you should forgive each other, no matter of what sins are committed against you. The almighty God himself will decide If you deserve the eternal life or rather to burn in the everlasting fire of the hell.

Please listen first to the words of the Lord before you make up your mind.

The Gospel (Matthew 18, 15-17):
15 "If a brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you, you have won your brother over. 16 But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that evrey matter may be astablished by the testimony of two or three witnesses. 17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to isten even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector."

The Gospel (Matthew 18, 21-22):
21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, hom many times shall I forgive my brother when he sisns against me? Up to seven times?"
22 Jesus anwered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times"

[ooc]funny isn't it?[/ooc]

This are the words of the Lord, follow his example and you will receive the grace of the almighy God.

Don Plaguátes realizes he has few months left to live and he really wishes to go to heaven. So now he will try out an all new thing: Forgiving someone. This time its forgiving the murder of his eldest son. "Send me the the cleric, and send me the one who so cowardly killed my son, so that I can forgive him before God and recieve salvation." he says. For the first time in his life Don "Giovanni" Plaguátes gets a serene, peaceful smile and not the evil grin he was best known for.

Does not the Gospel also tell us to "turn the other cheek"? I believe the Don has been awakened spiritually, and is showing remorse, and humility. Surely, this is the work of the Divine.

Listen all! I was the first to prophesize of the coming of the holy one, look two pages back and you'll see, and I was punished for it. Nuclerius then defended my position while I was recovering from the blow to my head and now I return to find actual BLOOD spilt in the Academia!!!

I ask that Academia forever be a free haven, where no weapons may be carried. Where no man can be accused of blasphemy or treason, nor punished for it.
Our Lord has said that we should not follow the ways of the wicked and killing is most definately so.

Is it not written that one should turn the other cheek to those who strike us?
Did not the God incarnate himself heal the wound of the very soldier that came to take him to his death?

We must LEARN from his example, not merely claim his name as a justification of whatever we do.

I ask that Lord Togas and Sir Winterius forever grant La Academia as a free haven.

In my illness and pains I have received the great Spirit that the Lord has spoken of. Hear my words as his words for He is speaking through me.
I have seen the Light!

Señor de Nuñez, How can you claim that the Lord is speaking through you?

* Cardinal Aidun Cian the older walks to Meneñdes and whispers in his ear *

Señor de Nuñez, I do not like to accuse you for heresy, but I have to if you do not correct what you just said.
There have been many prophets inhj the past, Jesaja, Jeremia and many others. But since the birth of Jesus Christ, there are no prophets anymore. The task of the prophets was to prepare the world for the coming of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, wasn't it?
If you claim that the almighty god is speaking throughyou, you claim to be a prophet. This would mean that you do not recognize Jesus Christ as the Son of God. Such can only mean you are a heretic or a pagan, both do not deserve the mercy and love of the almighty God:

Exodus 20, 5:
"Thou shalt not kneel for them (other gods) and thou shalt not adore them, for I am Jahwe, thy God. I am, for them who hate me, a revengeful God, who revenges their sins on their children, grandchildren, grand-grandchildren and grand-grand-grandchildren."

I leave the choice up to you. If you claim this a second time I will come with others to tesetify as Matthew states in Matthew 20, 15-17, a third time I will take you to the chiurch to convince you and the fourth time you shall be treated as pagan deserves.
Be a wise man Señor de Nuñez and don't ask me to do so.

Señor De Nunez, Indeed Polaris commited a BIG, very BIG mistake by killing people here!
*Polaris:´´But he was a heathen and the preacher told us to kill heathens!´´*
Shoo Polaris! Weak of mind, have you learnt nothing from this one?
I shall struggle to make this place free of acusations and charges, one such place where people can speak freely, for the good of Spain, just as my father dreamt of such a place.
And Señor Cyan, do you dare defy the truth that Our Lord will speak through the faithfull and teach us through the life of Saints?
I heard god can speak through Saints and holy people, humble or noble, and I heard it from you, in fact.
In fact, I would like to know your opinion on these other gospels, that are rumored to have been hidden by some members of the church...

Señor Winterius, The church is very open and does not hide gospels. Anyone is free to discuss with me about the Bible and the Gospels and I am always willing to teach the word of the Lord to people.

The subject of the saint needs some discussion. It is not proved that the almighty God teaches us through saints, through their deeds and / or words.

I have studied the Bible for a long time since I first heard of it in the land of Arabia, but it is not clear whether the almighty God himself uses saints as his tool or that the fairness and goodness comes from the saints themseves.
The Twelve Diciples received the Holy Spirit when the Lord was raised the heaven. That caused them to preach and spread the wonder of christianity. The will to follow him and to do good, however, was not caused by the Holy Spirit. I believe it came out of themselves.
Goodness is in men, in all of us, though sometimes we are led by evil powers in the hell that try to corrupt our hearts. Sometimes they succed. The only way to prevent such is to pray to the almighty God and ask for forgiveness of your sins. If you really show repentance and a true faith, he will always forgive you. The almighty God has an endless patience with those who try to do good and try to stick to his commandments and have failth in him. Those who do not will not recieve any forgiveness, and no mercy after their death.
The patience is being teached to Pter by Jesus when he asks the Lord how many times he should forgive. The Lord thells him not to forgive but seven times, but seventy-seven: forgive until the end of time An everlasting patience should even go from man to man, that is what the Lord says.

Back to saints I can tell you this about them form my interpretation from the Bible.
Saints are common men that do good. Anyone can be a saint when one does something at some moment that one needn't to do, but did because one felt mercy. It is like the tale of the good Samaritan.

Gospel of Luke (Luke 10, 29-37):
29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" 30 In reply Jesus said"A man was going form Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too a Levite, when he came to the pl;ace and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he travelled, cam where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouing on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own dondey, took him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. 'Look after him,' he said, 'and when I return, I will riembutrse you for any extra expense you may have.'
36 "Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?"
37 "The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him."
Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise."

I have nothing to add.

Nor should you, Cardinal Cian. The Word of God cannot be added to, nor can anything likewise be removed. It is the Word, and we cannot tamper with it. It is immovable.

I have a question myself to ponder.

Does the squid have a soul?

St. Hernan de Calamari (called the Dumb Ox), would have said that all things have a soul, but not an immortal soul. Instead, they have the breath of life. What would you learned theologians say in this matter?

Was it not said by the Lord himself in Matthew 16:18;
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

There is more to the testament of faith than simply the gospels. Read this:

£/#$ And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

£/#€ These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

£/#{ And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

£/#[ Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake...

Note what I have underlined. There is more to come from the holy Lord, in writing and in Acts. My friend in Araby, Teophilus has sent me the first part of a letter to him concerning the works of the disciples and apostles, and I intend to have it admitted to the gospels as part of the Holy Scripture for so I have been instructed to do by the Holy Ghost!

And to prove that I am not possessed by the devil, hear these words of the prophet Joel.

1:1 The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.

2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Not quite sure what you mean here, old chap. Are you asking "When did we develop our own language?" or "When did the phrase Neu Demogyptican pop up".

Well, if it's the latter...the phrase popped up with my grandfather Hernan, the first diplomat to Arabia.

He stubbed his foot on an Arabian general's hookah, and cursed: "You Damn-ol'-Gyp-Wiccan!!" (in reference to their barbaric religion).

The phrase stuck.
