	How soon is Christ coming again? Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

The other thread inspired this, but I think it deserves its own space for a poll. I'm interested in knowing the feeling of Christians on this board as to when Christ the Saviour (as believed in by Christians) is coming back to Earth.

Note that this is just to be an estimate, not necessarily arrived at in any methodical, millenarianist or prophetic way.

I do believe that Jesus of Nazareth was a real person whose teachings Christians follow ( <- verb used lightly in many cases). To me, it doesn't matter whether or not He was the son of God or simply the son of a carpenter, that isn't the point. The Message, not the messenger, is what matters. He did make a promise to return one day...

...I do believe that someone will come along one day who will inspire the masses, much as Jesus once did, and be proclaimed by many to be the Second Coming. Again, lineage isn't the point. It's the Message that matters...

Indeed it's all about the messenger.

I'll say we are not far, considering that more Christians have been killed in the last 100 years, then in all of the previous centuries combined.

I can't say when Jesus comes back.
I think the apocalypse might start in 17 years though. (which is not the same as the returning of Christ)

That means huge wars, persecution of christians and the death of 1/3th of the world population.
Attack on Israel by surrounding nations.

I think it'll be started by a few huge terror acts that will make the world-opion turn against 'fundamentalists' in general.

On a more on-topic note, I think, there's a passage in the bible that says not even the angels know for sure when He's coming back, so I'm one of the two people who said "beats me."

I think that there was a man named Jesus that lived who had some good things to say. But I don't believe in the whole mythical walking on water crap. And I think his original followers somehow managed to make their cult a religion. I don't believe there will be a "second-coming" because I don't even believe in the "first-coming", so-to-speak.
