Who's better? Admittedly, he had little competition. However, you must acknowledge that the man has a way with a tune, love songs in particular...

Bono, Sting, Bowie, a whole host of others. Drake, you're too young to like old farts music.

Now people can't claim he wasn't playing with a full deck, though.

Although with 55 cards, he apparently was playing with a fixed deck.

So now that warlords are already popping up, that two clerics were slaughtered in Najaf (at a US sponsored event) and that the University of Mosul was completely sacked, are you still dancing?

Do you dance for the little boy with both his arms blown off and his whole family dead? Do you dance for the girl with half her brains missing? Do you dance for the increase in cancer that's going to appear where ever DU was used? Do you dance for the thousands of dead and the thousands of maimed and injured?

Liberation is a wonderful thing, but it's not the reason for this war, just a happy side-effect to an otherwise criminal enterprise.

why even bother to continue arguing with these fools? All vestiges of intelligent debate have been left to the mercy of ignorant babbling. Since they know they can't win an argument, they just start flaming like children.

These less-than-illustrious posters aren't even dancing because the Iraqui people are liberated, they are dancing because their warmongering army just destroyed another country. All that liberating stuff is just a farse to them.

And yes, Bono and Sting kick Lionel Ritchie's ass anytime.

Because I'm not communist

I am a firm believer in captialism though in a very left-leaning way (i.e. Swedish socialism)

Bono isn't a singer-songwriter. Sting is good competition for Richie, but their styles are so different that it's difficult to compare the two. Also, Sting's best work was with The Police, so it wouldn't qualify as the work of a singer-songwriter.

edit: OTOH, many of Richie's best songs were written while he was still with the Commodores. I wonder if those would count in the Sting v. Lionel battle...

Bono ISN'T a singer-songwriter???????

99% of all of U2's lyrics are written by Bono and those are some of the finest lyrics ever written in the history of rock music.

umm, have you read this whole page from the top? I have not done anything of the sort. These people aren't even arguing anymore, just posting nonsense. And one of them even said he was flaming, like that outright. Why not say the same to him, not just me?

It doesn't take a psychic to realize what these people (i.e. these posters) are really celebrating if you take all their posts into context.

I never said anything about the Iraqi people celebrating, I was refering to these guys right here

Seems to me those citizen's pictured are happy.
So did all the shoe-welding citizens, knocking the bajeebers out of any Hussein picture they could find.

I don't know. Maybe it's me.
Maybe in Iraq, a smile is a sign of anger?
Cheers are boos?

Yes, what are the Iraqi citizens looting ?
By golly, it's government offices, and Hussien family residences.

Thank again for making that point, Boris.
