The total population of the Confederate States of America was only 12 million, only 3 million of whom were black. Yes there is a significant difference between 10 million and 3 million. That 3 million blacks were at least allowed to live. There was no effort to "bury the evidence" towards the end of the Civil War.

. If you're moderate there, you might as well be communist, IMHO. I'm a pretty moderate sort of guy, but I find that I align with (non-nazi) Republican viewpoints more often, mostly because I'm a logical sort of guy and I'm not a big fan of hypocrisy, which is most dems' favourite pastime. Don't let the nazis discourage you. I think you'll find more welcome and comfort voting with republicans then dems.
