But he did get a rather big invasionforce (8 SOTL and 8 landunits) behind my lines without I did notice anything before they just showed up on the beach.....

what do you think about setting Power Slic 2 as default setting for challenge games ?
i find the additional reminders very helpful, and it doesnt change the game itself very much (except that you can add settlers to cities like in civ)

Sounds interesting to me... But what is the Power Slic 2? Does everyone have to make the change on their computers in order for the game to work, or does just the host (game starter) have to have the Power Slic 2?

One of the things I have against Mods is that someone may be very well familiar with its abilities whereas someone such as me would not. True, I can get me lazy @r$e over to the d/l site and do me the "README" thingey but without actually having played this or any other modification, I would be at an extreme disadvantage.

Of course..this is why somefolks from "North-of-da-border" dont like playing me online, because i know somethings about my infamous exclusions game!

But that's "another" subject and we will leave well enouff alone, eh Pistol pete?

Troll brings up a good point. I tend to agree with him. In my opinion, it's better to leave the standard settings as plain as can be. If players wish to use certain modifications or slic code changes then they, of course, can both agree at the beginning of the game to use them.

i have a running game versus Dimytes, but we are not sure if it is a ladder game.
if you want you can just count it towards the ladder.

also, i had a ladder game started with troll. dont know if it is included in the list.
as a note, we lost the game turns and will restart that one soon.
