Might I suggest right on the nutrients to the north west of the rover? It would have two mineral resources and be located in a nice lush valley with the big plateau on the other side. Just an idea, not my deparment.

I'll agree that the next city should be somewhere NW of the rover's current position. Right now those mineral bonuses and nutrient source look very appealing right now.

If not there, the next possible base location should be somewhere near the northern nutrient source, above Voltairograd or somewhere near the westernmost scout.

I concur on building the next bases to the NW near the two mineral resources.

Might I also suggest sending the scout in Fellowship City one space to the Southeast down that river to find out what might be in that unexplored territory in the base radius?

God alone knows where everyone's been, but after 24 hours I just played the turn myself. Nothing to report, the units kept on thier goto paths, and the rover has encountered some MINDWORMS. We'll see what happens with the worms next turn...

No new tech, no new units, nothing really except finding some worms

Evening all!



The Glorious Chairman and myslef played this turn just a while ago. Our glorious RASPHH defeated some 3vil mindworm scum, while our scout found some more 3vil mindworm scum to defeat next turn. (YAY!! MORE ENERGY CREDITS!) Our colony pod will FINALLY be done at the hive next turn (*much anticipation*). On a similar note... anyone who hasn't voted for me as a PAC member should do so now. .

I'd move the green base north one square - between the nutrients and energy, so that it would fill in the space better, and have access to two nutrient-rich squares.

Also, I'd move the blue up the green hillside, just because there isn't much on the other side of the valley.

Yea, that's true and we'd have more efficient land usage to the north east there. However there would be 2 squares overlaping with the blue base... do we mind doing that? What's the opinion around here? (the BEST place would be right where that flipping energy is on the water... *grumbles*... who needs water anyway, :P )

I concur with this base placement. There will be some overlap, but it won't matter early in the game. And we should have many, many cities later so it sholdn't matter then either.

On the other hand, if the plan is to backfill the area later with new cities between the ones we have now, as I believe Comrade Jamski suggests, we should build them slightly further apart to maximize the useful area.



The purple city is a possible future location, which may be moved back 1 tile southeast so it's right next to the nutrient resource.
