The red circle indicates the proposed base site, this has not changed since the last turn, and the base construction will be carried through on the upcoming turn. The green lines indicate troop movements.

Get your suggestions in now if you cannot make it to the turnchat, even if you can get them in now so we all know what we’re doing. Given the fact that next turn we’ll be receiving the tech to build formers a terraforming plan should be started on that will be in place when our first formers are built.

Don´t forget to use the free minerals of the third base to rush a former (25ec IIRC) and then let it build a scout patrol

And remember your "rush next turn" formula is:

ec's to complete - (base mins x 2)

So if your new base gets , say, 3 minerals, then the rush cost is 19 ec's (25 - 6). Plus "stockpile energy in the Q" nets a small ec refund as well

(of course nothing then gets carried forward to kickstart the scout but ec's are surely crucial this early, not quicker garrisoned bases)

No, we don't want to move that southern scout to the south, there is nothing down there! Send it to the north west to begin exploring the rest of the continent. As for the scout already in the north, keep it in the base until it builds another scout, then explore the unity pod. If the pod were to contain mind worms we'd be ****ed. Consider this a formal and vehement objection to the proposal, and as Minister of Peace and Marshal of the Armed Forces I respectfully ask that my orders be implemented by the Glorious Comrade Chairman.

I like the new base proposal. I agree that we should reconsider moving the eastern scout down. Other than the movement of the scout, I have no objections of the apparent plans.

OK - Turn is up. My proposals. Build with the Southern Pod. Hold the scout in the base for the moment, use the free minerals to rush a former using Googlie's formula above, or rush at full cost, with a scout in the build queue, so the extra minerals mean a scout can be rushed the next turn too. Voltairograd should finish building a scout this turn, I suggest it starts on a former. Scout in the Northeast to go pod popping (closest pod) Research will be finished - see above, or the science thread. New base in the South - check the best squares are being worked, and name it.... either Jamskipolovitch, or something similar

I hope to make it to the chat as usual, but I may have to go to the mooovies and see X-Men 2

Alright turns update's up for 2107. This year has been rather prosperous for the Human Hive as we've established our third base, Fellowship City (open to revision), discovered former technology, and are beginning the path to terraforming the continent in order to transform it into a glorious socialist paradise.

As you can tell we are researching Information Networks, hopefully receiving it in 7 turns so that we may switch to a Planned economy. Among the biggest gains for the Hive in 2107 was the fact that the pod to the north revealed a rover, allowing for us to explore the remainder of the continent much quicker and thus pop pods more quickly as well.

My prediction of a rover was correct all along after reading the post, and if we want to, use good old Russian and Chinese engineering skills to blatantly reverse engineer the rover good work.

That rover is very nice, I would recemend (as Director for Industry and Development) that Volatarograd build a Colony Pod after the Former, we need to expand quickly.
