Technically, Fred didn't own the business, he just ran it for his family. Also consider that while he worked there, neither he nor Marx was a member of an organization (though Marx may have later joined the 1st Interational). Later Engels sold his share of the business (after he inherited I suppose) and used the money to help support Marx's family as well as himself.

Anyway, just because you aren't allowed to be part of an organization doesn't mean you can't give it money and write on your own.

Indeed, but left unhindered, like eutrophication in a pond, it will end up destroying not only itself, but hurting others, so capitalism, after a point does end up becoming "oppressive", but that point is extreme and reasonable safeguards prevent that, and keep economies at maximum efficiency and productivity.
