FYI:
Kirov class warships:
4 total
Admiral Ushakov:
Inactive. Suffered nuclear accident in 1990. Entered shipyard for overhaul in 1999. Unlikely to return to service.
Admiral Lazarev:
Inoperable since early '90s. Russian Navy asking for DONATIONS to help repair this ship, but unlikely it will return to service.
Admiral Nakhimov:
Currently in overhaul.
Petr Velikiy:
Only Kirov-class currently in commission and able to go to sea (that is, operations funding permitting).
Yes, the Kirov is very nice, but when you only have one of them, it's pretty useless. A Kirov could arguably take a US carrier, but the US has 12 carriers and the Russians have 1 Kirov. You do the math. Even the Brits could take it out if they needed to.

|
No. It means absolutely different thing. To Russia's overall military capability refers -"opizdyulyayushaya" force.
quote: On the other hand, you can't even pay your own soldiers, so maybe you give them "pizdyulei".
|
yes...sometimes and not only to soldiers.
We have a saying here- "my bez pizdyuley, kak bez pryanikov" (something like this- "a day without "pizdyuley, it's like a day without candy")
quote: If so, we don't want any, thanks, you see, over here, we PAY our soldiers and FEED them |
It doesn't really matter that you don't want some, if you or anyone else would try to capture Siberia, you'll get some 'pizdyuley' regardless how well you soldiers paid and how well they feeded.
quote: Speaking of having enough for everyone, the US certainly had enough Lend Lease for the Soviet Union, certainly enough to greatly benefit every soldier in the Red Army |
Notice- you started this crap in this thread, not me.
So, even if so and even if USA had enough Lend Lease for everyone, it's still didn't have balls to invade Germany in 1941.

Russia's overall military capacity couldn't even fight the war in Chechnya without running out of spare parts for the air force.

Yeah, snow, cold, and ice is a ***** of a combination - that's what stopped the Germans and the French, after all

The US wasn't even at war with Germany until the end of 1941. Of course, by your same argument, the Soviet Union didn't have the balls to invade Germany in 1941, either

a us large carrier holds how many , ..... a difference of 50+ aircraft , .....
on top of that , the kirov has some serious troubles in his propellor shafts , ....
its a shame russia's military is getting weaker by the day , and its a real danger aswell , .... not only to russian internal security but to world security aswell , ...
does one still need to wonder why so many young male russians ask for emmigration to Israel , ....
have a nice day

So, then, you think that a Russian armored division could take on an American armored division?
If I were betting on it, I'd say a Russian AD would have problems fighting a US ACR.
