	If there was a God, would you worship it? Remove this text

not a troll on religion... just sharing my own views... I invite others to share their opinions, but please, no personal threadjacks please.

If there was a God, I would not worship him. If he wants me to worship him, and he had given me free will to do with as I will, I shall not worship God. And God must accept this if he is good and fair. And if this God is not good and fair, than such a God should not be worshipped.

Agree/Disagee? Why?

I wouldn't worship any god

however I do happen to worship God

if He didn't exist, but some other god did, I wouldn't automatically worship him

I went to church as a kid. I didn't learn a damn thing. I even took saturday classes- which I think were bible study classes or something. mostly we did stupid kid stuff. I hated being treated as a kid when I was a kid

I am a sorry excuse for a catholic .

That's why I don't consider myself a catholic. In fact, I don't even consider myself christian anymore.

I'm not sure what I am.

Don't know about Moslems, but, iirc, the invention and widespread use of "Hell" is a Christian (New Testament) thing and not something that is historically Jewish (Old Testament).

Why would God care whether we worship him or not? Is he just some big cosmic vending machine passing out rewards to those who spend enough time on their knees?

For all it being a sucky movie, Star Trek V said it best: "Why would God need a spaceship?" Substitute burnt offerings, prayer, temples, religion and worship for spaceship, and you have a pretty profound question.
