RP: avoid them, perhaps, but I wouldn't do it to such an extend that they begin to wonder if something would be going on. If BF tries to chats with you, let him, just don't tell much. But don't seek contact yourselves...
Lego: Very difficult. Normally we have another chat coming up tonight, I hope I'll be able to make it (my parents are organizing a pre-anniversary party for me, so I have to attend ). The tricky part is that Lego can't suspect we're going to war, however I too would love to know whether they would be willing to attack, instead of defend only. And, we should be talking about the eta on techs, and how to reap the most benefits. That discussion should give some starting points where we can ask what their military objectives are, if done right. But then the question will return, of course.
One thing I'd like to ask Lego is whether they now have all teams agreeing on the no-Sistine clause. Oh, and can someone with the save check if all other teams have Education, and thus can't build the GL anymore? Otherwise that would also be a good thing to chat about, as it shows interest in their game, and might lead to something useful for us as well
Further, I'd like to ask if they learned something new with our map, and perhaps if they see why our lands are not so easily defended, being so long-stretched (might be a bit too much, depends on where the discussion is going)

Excellent. Thanks, OPD. I am sure something will come up soon.
Addit: Keep in mind though, that you will have a lot to do starting in about... oh, 72 hours.

A chat with ND is a must- as Shiber stated in the Diplo affairs thread. We have to assess the degree of resistance we would run into if we're heading for a lang-grab on RP.
I'd suggest the following approach:
Ask if they want help, tell them we want something for it- this leads to keeping cities and territory, which is the obvious spoil of war. We'll be probing their unwillingness, and perhaps discover some cracks between ND and GoW. We should not, however, threaten that we'd go for a land grab, nor start any negotiation on the amount of land we're allowed to keep- as this blocks the option of land-grab, and I wouldn't want to pass on it so early, before the warfare even began, and before we have a better idea on how ND, and also GoW would react to this. We will also need to hearing from GoW regarding our idea to jointly strike at ND (we'll have to discuss this with them some time soon, under the veil of utter secrecy, of course), before making any commitments to other teams.

Diplo position on the pending Grand Alliance.
We do not want to let slip that RP and we are allied to the extent that we will be, that is for sure. No quicker way to unite all the other civs into a 3v2 than that.
So, what do we do? What is our position, publically? With GoW (this one is critical). ND, and Lego (important as well). I suggest that...
With GoW: We told you we want on to Bob as we deem certain areas as vital to our security. RP has agreed that we are welcome on Bob. Unfortunately, ND did not see things our way, so they will now pay the price. We have no quarrel with you, leave our lands in the East alone, and go on your way. Bilbao, Toledo, and New Madrid are to go to the Storm [we should not mention the extent, but indicate that we have interests in addition to Bilbao]. What is the price that ND will pay? That we will defend Espana against them, to this we are pledged.
To ND: Too bad, so sad. We tried to talk with you. We tried to get you to see that our concerns re Bob were legitimate. Our concerns were ignored. We are pledged to defend RP lands vs your aggression. We understand if that means war between us. Let us not hate, let us fight if we must, and then share a drink in Valhalla.
To Lego: We have secured concessions on the East coast of Bob that are to our long term advantage for strategic defense. We are pleased. In return, we are pledged to defend RP lands. We hope this does not displease you.
Publically: The Star Chamber of the Council of the Storm [or change that to the uptight, titled body of your choice] is dismayed by the plight of the Spanish people. We have received assurances that the armies of the Storm are welcome on Bob by the Nobles and people of Spain, and we rejoice. In friendship with the crown and the people of Spain we pledge ourselves to the defence of their realm, and to the protection of his holiness [insert RP pope here].
That's about all I can think of at the moment. The task is that we ease into this new position on Bob. We do not alarm GoW, and we certainly leave Lego feeling like secure little builders if we can.
Possibly, GoW will reconsider their position and withdraw to look greedily at ND land. I am not counting on it, but we should not discourage it.
Above all. We let on to no-one the extent of the Treaty with RP that is in the works. That is the critical bit.
Comments? Ideas?

I like that framework.
We might avoid public statements that we have converted to Catholicism (or whatever religion they have)-might be too far.
Maybe just talk about exchanging bishops or something, that we are either in a situation analogous to the catholics/eastern orhodox situation and are working together, or that its a relatively new regligion, but the fastest growing in Stormia, (faster growing than islam, take that nd!)
I don't' know, but I would be careful on how to word that stuff.
Lego will probably like this war, since everyone but them is involved, so I don't see them caring that much. We know they have a pact not to attack RP until 1000ad, but that doesn't mean they won't cause any mischief-maybe even some horsetrading like we are doing. doubtful though.
GoW-they had their chance for us to be on their side, now they have one final chance to be on our side.
ND-earlier proposal was laughable. bah.
