The New York Times ranking have always been garbage. They're only in there because it's the New York Times, which impresses people who don't care about accurate journalism or sports knowledge. I say **** em; dump the NYT and add Jerry Palm's PSR rankings.

Try the business school. I was in James Madison, and I don't recall a single multiple choice test there either. But I had to take some other courses like economics. The entire grade for entry level micro and macro economics was based upon a midterm and a final, both multiple choice. I took both classes, attending a total of 7 times (including the exams) using my high school economics course as my knowledge base. I bought the book for macroeconomics, but put that off for microeconomics until the midterm. I discovered that there weren't any more available though. That hurt my grade a bit. I got a 4.0 in Macro, and a 3.5 in Micro.

I was a despicable student in many ways.

Another painful game for ND, although less painful for me than Michigan (my boss is a Michigan fan, so...). The abuse factor from USC was higher, though. USC is obviously a very good offensive team and did what it wanted, when it wanted, against a competent ND defense. It's by far the most polished offensive team I have seen against ND this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see USC as national champs. They are that good.

ND's offense had good points, but the o-line and qb are still young. I really like the freshman quarterback, since he seems to be in charge of the squad and can throw the ball. The previous senior qb always did dumb avoidable stuff like having delay of game timeouts and penalties.

As for leagues, I have always considered the Big 12 to be weak. The ACC pretty much so as well. The PAC 10 is a real crap shoot from year to year. The SEC and Big 10 are very tough conferences consistently. You just have to look at a team with a storied history like Penn State turned into a mediocre school.

Yea I know that, my comment was a hopeful answer as to why you were wrong.

I know a lot of people that went to U of M, albeit mostly in the 1980s. My stepfather got a masters of public health there, and one of my ex-girlfriends got a bachelors there before she went to Yale med school. Another one of my exes went to U of M law school after she graduated from MSU. About a quarter of my HS seemed to have gone to school there as well for their undergrad degrees. Too bad you didn't go to one of MSU's med schools, as I know probably 100 people that attended or taught at one or the other.

One of my mom's med school classmates quit human medicine, and attended the vet school later. Sparrow is the 300 lb gorilla in the area. Big and growing all the time. My mom was a VP at Ingham Medical Center before she died, and ran the credentialing department there (professional affairs or some other euphemism). My stepfather has an oncology practice in town, and one in Owosso as well. If you are thinking of going into oncology I know he is always looking for new partners. One of my best friends from college manages a "doc in the box" in Brighton, and he is also constantly looking for new talent as well. Anyway, let me know if you end up in Lansing. I return to town every couple of years or so, and it would be fun to put a face with the handle.

Sik--gonna be a pediatrician. Love to see ya in Lansing if I end up there.

As for WV... I'm still super pissed that they blew that Miami game by ****ing BLITZING ON 4th-AND-FOREVER when they had been played stellar defense with eight guys dropping back; even getting decent pressure with a three man line! Instead, rush six, BOOM, first down. They then blitzed on EVERY SINGLE PLAY AFTERWARDS, basically giving Miami the win on a silver platter. Stupid *******s!

But kudos on exposing the Hokies... jackasses...

interest here in the current college season seems to have died which is something , as a current UM student, i can't quite understand.

Most of Ann Arbor is heading up to east lansing for the game and i'm rather sure the spartans are rather hyped up for this weekend.

Who do the big ten haters here think will win this grudge match?

Sorry, its Bedlam Weekend, and most of my concentration is on whether Oklahoma State can make a three-peat of beating Oklahoma.
