I would normally reply to you Gilg with some more arguments but I will respect Locutus' wish.
St. George's day is a Christian festival in the memory of St. George. I am not sure if Catholics or Protestands celebrate St. George's day but Orthodox do. There had been many people that had their share in Christian history and involvement through time and were proclaimed to saints by the curch, and thus their day of death (usually) is celebrated by the church and the faithful, and poeple that are named by the saint are the honored.

Around here, St George's Day is to the English as St Patrick's Day is to the Irish.
Except that most of the population don't pay any attention to it.

This might be interesting:
quote:
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 26, 2004) - Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games) today announced development of Empire Earth® 2, the ambitious sequel to GameSpy.com's 2001 "PC Game of the Year," Empire Earth. Developed by Mad Doc® Software and due for release in the first half of 2005, Empire Earth 2 will build upon the award-winning formula of its predecessor by adding features requested both by casual game players interested in a brief spin through history and by more hard core gamers who demand a real-time strategy game that will challenge them for dozens, if not hundreds, of hours.
...
Founded in 1999 by Dr. Ian Lane Davis, Mad Doc Software is headquartered in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Dr. Davis is the "MadDoctor" from the CTP1 files. IIRC, he also did some work on CTP2.

A question for you guys who play Super Apolyton Pack.
What difficulty level do you play on and what do you think of the difficuly levels?
I'm in the process of converting SAP to a scenario, and looking at the difficulty database I'm surprised at how much the AI is given, especially at higher levels. I know it's not really 'cheating' but I wonder about how much fun it can be to play the game in those circumstances.
