Did you ever notice that problem of when you explore alot of terrain on the map, then you meet another civ ALL their coloured border suddenly appears visible on the minimap even if its under fog of war? Id prefer it if you never saw their border until you explored it yourself. Anyone agree/disagree?
Ill explain my reasoning, example, a MP game, i explore all the North side of an island with a coracle really early in the game before anyone had settled there, then 100 turns later i explore the South of that island with a Longship and meet an opponent then suddenly i see all his border on the minimap that hes expanded all the way to the top of the island, strange.

Bug fix posted below by Fromafar: Use the veteran status in combat.
Based on the observations and proposals by MrBaggins and Solver: apply the veteran coefficient to the unit properties when in combat.
This bug fix will improve the chance to hit the target (i.e. increase the RangedAttack and Offense properties). It will not modify the other properties (Defense, Strength, etc.). This corresponds to the handling of the veteran status in UnitData.cpp.

Apologies if this has been discussed somewhere else, but why cant veteran status affect Defensive stats too?

Before food and TV, my sons and I take a walk across Port Meadow to the pub. Here's a couple of pics; first, the pub:

Well, my 21 year old son is taking the old man out to a New Year's party. Don't know if I'm up to this sort of thing anymore.
Happy New Year everybody.
(Might not be around for a day or two.)
