So far I've got a lot of water around me. It's starting to freak me out!

At least most of it is grasslands with some hills, and lots of rivers!

I think the map is huge, but everything random. I usually choose large continents for my builder games, but oh well.

Yes, I setup the game with a huge map (what we wanted for a "growers" PBEM) with everything else random. But not to worry Paddy, I've got the Vikings for company. So far, they're behaving themselves - but if I know the AI, not for much longer!

You guys are lucky becuase you have exploration as one of your strengths.

I've been trying to exlore using my one, meandering, warrior. lets just say I'm having to do a little exploration with settlers, which is generally not a good idea.

I haven't lost any units yet, but those 8 barbarians in the early game really hampered my exploration.

Maybe I am the reason, but we do have a bit of Barbarian activity here... my concern is that once the barbarians are dealt with, then Bismark will turn on my holdings...

Sure, all I need is $1,200!

I'm having a hard enough time trying to keep my desktop up to date. I've been debating wether or not to dump another $40 worth of RAM into it. Currently, all I have is 256. $40 would double that to 512mb.

Well, I did just get $30 for babysitting last night....hmmm....

I would notice a difference in two areas, gaming and photography. As for games, I currently play Civ3 (not very power hungry) and Morrowind (a power hog). As for photography, anyone here ever try manipulating 50mb film scans??

Well, I could just scan them as JPEG's, but then I would have a loss in quality. Instead, I keep 2 50mb TIFF files, one is a raw file (the image completley unedited, not even by the scanner) and one edited file.

A couple weeks ago I scanned in all 109 exposures that I took on my trip to Europe, and added over 6gb of images to my HD.

My mother had me scared ****less this morning. I had told her to press the power button on my keyboard when it finished printing her photos. She claims that pressing the keyboard button didn't do anything so she *grimace* pressed the main power button on the CPU.

I turned it on this morning and it spent close to a half hour scanning for errors, crosslinked files, and crosslinked clusters

I am amazed this thing is still running!
