war getting very bloody now with 3 viking swordsmen , one archer and one spearmen killed this session..

ausseis in need of reinforcements as most of our troops now injured.

birka will fall this next session, still empty, but aussies on outskirts of the city...

ausseis in north are left unprotected in open, we dont hold high hope for them either wil take a mirlacle to survive agaisnt a rush of archers..

desp need the med inf to arrive...

Where are they located?

Landing Horsemen soon on the western coast which could arrive across the Nordiclands in 4 to 5 turns for reinforcements if it will do any good. Otherwise they will continue north towards the single Horsemen and the 2 catapults.

Archers are defense 1 so attack them first with the Swords at 3 attack to clear them out. Don't allow them to attack you at attack 2 to your 2 defense. Even odds defending better odds attacking. If you need to heal board the ships and sail away again to heal and rejoin the battle another day instead of dying needlessly wasting units.

yes , well after attacking them one round they get a shot back next round, which is wha ti awating for.. .. who ever survuves wil lbe put back on ships...

Three Horsemen are entering the Killing Fields and will head towards the central Birka area.

Two more Galleys are carrying another catapult and 2 Horsemen to the northern plains for reinforcements there.

a few tiles dont look right, maybe i missing some ?? some coastal sqaures differnet colour to others, and a fe wpink bits showing up in mountians...

Sorry lost connections and was late so went to bed. I will send the remaining terrain files with the next turn then we can tweak them to both our likings including identifying and fixing the misplaced tiles with the purple peaking through.

The Russian Horsemen withdraw playing cat and mouse with the Vikings yet again until the combined strengths of the Aussie and Russian armies can be formed up together in the Nordiclands for one final push to send all the Vikings home to the Halls of Valhalla to sit in judgement before Odin.

True maybe we need to play the DyP 2.02x next game. Its still relatively unfamiliar territory for me as its so new and supposed to be more challenging. At least it has been so far for me as the Ottomans but I am still first on my continent at 800AD. Lots of unknown twists of the newer mods systems. Just figured out you cannot trade maps but you can sure steal them.

This mod dwarfs the PTW version in what it includes. I could not even tell you all thats included. The tech tree alone is stagering almost no space at all for any more additions. I will play some this afternoon and post a screenie of the Ancient Eras tech tree. I am almost out of the Ancient at 800AD. Thats kinda late for a regular game and I additionally modded the game to the largest map possible with 16 civs. My poor old computer takes sometimes several minutes to process the turns there is so much going on.

After turn 162 sent.

The Viking defenders are chasing the Russian Horsemen into the central valley after killing the Aussie Swordsmen. There is a Viking Settler and Spearmen in the valley and more Archers are approaching from the main Viking cities. If the Russian Horsemen can distract them long enough then the Aussie Midieval Infantry can arrive and clean-up the lesser equipped Viking units after re-capturing Birka.

sorry for the delay, had a few technical problems but al lsorted now,,, upgrded my conenction to get unlimited downloads and doing so upset the apple cart.. but yes i back now....

and got faster conenction too now running at 512 !! not as good as some but i did only have 256 before....

After turn 163 sent.

The Russian Horsemen south of Birka attacked and slew the Archer about to attack the Aussie Swordsmen in the hills. Another Horsemen is just to the north and has crossed the central Nordiclands valley to the opposite sides mountains to attack the Spearmen and Settler in the mountains. Another few Archers might head back south towards the Aussies advancing forces so the Russian Horsemen dipatched a single rider to warn the Aussies and then form up with the southern Horsemen appraoching across the Killing Fields. http://apolyton/upload/view.php?file=41123_Rasputin2.bmp

aussies continue to play with the vikings in trondheim . the northern swordsmen return to aussie city to rest after massive wounds.

reinforcments not far away now as the new medieval inf forces aprroach. Roadway is only 400 miles to completion. This is a great achievement especially at a time of war... once completed the navy will be freed up to investigate other lands.

King Deano IV has stated that the Road workers hav been as valauble in this war as the brave swordsmen.

King Deano has also with great thankfulness accepted the russians offer of maps and tech.

The Tide is truely turning now and the games of cat and mouse the russinas have played for centuries is about to end.
