After turn 165 sent.

The Horsemen have reached attacking distance in the North and are waiting next to a hill that has the two and soon to be three catapults on top of it along with a protecting Horsemen just in case. The Horsemen are in positions to attack next turn the 2 Viking archers that are one tile away from the Hilltop station of catapults. Hopefully the battle will be quick and swift with the Archers moving into range of the catapults next turn and then taking three rounds of bombardment hopefully reducing their strengths. Next the 2 Horsemen attack and kill the Archers with the defensive Horsemen on the hilltop finishing the job if necessary. Then its on to the city.

The Horsemen attempted to attack the Settlers but their escort Spearmen were ready and repeled the attack. The Horsemen are moving into the Forests nearby to recoup their loses and reorganize for another strike.

ok got some problems,,,

i installe dthe latest patch for c3c and it wouldnt recognise my CD any more . soi reintalled the game and it now wont recognise mny cd for ptw either... i installed the latest patch again and then found a no cd patch for c3c and that now works , but cant find a no cd patch for ptw,,, shouldsnt have to do this as i own the bloody game !!!!!

After turn 166 sent.

Many ages have the catapult handlers wheeled the massive catapults about the nordiclands rarely having the opportunity to fire in anger at the Vikings as they were always on the run. No longer as the Russian catapults on top the hill at the outskirts of the now remote Viking city fired and hit twice the two archers attemtping to see what was atop the hill scattering archers and their arrows across the ground as huge russian rocks pounded down upon them. Before the stunned and dazed archers could recover the Horsemen who had also for so long run away charged in for the kill sawiftly killing the scattered archers and clearing the path to the city beyond.

Next turn or two I think I get Invention we need to discuss tech advance research paths. I do not know what path you took after the last exchange and what will be open for us both after this next exchange when we both have a new tech to swap out.

After Invention I am thinking of taking the Gunpowder route and that would leave you the other route after theology?

What do you think?

Sorry disconnected and tired last night but thought before laying the next turn I would get this discussion out in the open.

I must have missed that invention one back a few posts ago or I would have said something then I guess when we exchanged chivalry and Engineering was it? or Theology? Have to check my science advisors screen next turn.

After turn 167 sent.

The Horsemen and catapults moved closer to the Viking city in the North. The other Viking settler will be allowed to build his city in the north and then will be oberrun once it is built and grows to a population of 2 to capture another site without having to build it ouselves.

Science Advisors reported that invention was discovered and so we began towards the Gunpowder advance. We swithced from making the Sun Tzu's to the Leonardo's Workshop so the Aussies can have the Sun Tzu's for their knights and Midieval Infantry to be veterans where ever they are formed. 16 Turn currently till Gunpowder and have the Sistine Chapel building so the Aussies will get the Bach's cathedral to be fair about the happiness generating wonders. I doubt if the other players are even near to this advance yet.

Might be going down in internet access soon, about 2 weeks approx., so if so this will limit my access to the library internet connection for sending turns out so one or two per day will be max if a solution does not present itself and I do not know for sure that I can send from their but they do have the internet access point. Might have to attach files to the forum at that point because the email account will also be gone if that happens.

After turn 168 sent.

The Russian catapulkts(mispelled at first but looks more Russian this way ) were not as accurate as they were before. Perhaps from being situated on top of the hill overlooking the city were causing the crews to overfire killing several civilians. The Horsemen attempted to attack anyways loosing one of their number and gravely wounding another in only killing one of the defending Viking Spearmen.

Another group of Horsemen having attacked some Archers in the woods to the north of the battle for the city were forced to retreat from combat and were lost to the Archers counterattack. However the Archer couterattack left them in the open and within range of another troop of Russian Horsemen that will avenge the deaths of their fellows next turn.

Aussies making final plans for vikings hope to implement them in the next 4-5 turns...

we need to get better ships to travel over seas and oceans...

looks like the next wonder not avaiable for awhile so the ausseis not sure what their next goal wil lbe....

not interested in democracy so pointelss heading that way..

wil lthink about whilst we await russian moves..

as we capture more viking citys we will gift the west coast ones to the russians who were isntrumental in this war ...

After turn 169 sent.

The Russians accepted the gracious offers of the Aussies and look forward to resting their tired mounts after the long rides in the wilds of the Nordiclands. Soon this war will be all but a memory to the new integrated Nordic peoples who will join and embrace their new found Russian and Aussie cultural brothers and sisters and call the Nordiclands their homes in peace.

Soon the ships will begin arriving from either the English, Persian, Iroquois, or Mongul nations. We must be sure to protect our shores with manned fortresses where our cultural borders do not cover the coastlines and place Watch towers upon the Mountains overlooking the corners of the seas and oceans leading to our shores. It will still be some time before the advances of Education combine with the advances of Invention and they both eventually will lead us to Navigation.

aussies not happy with the vikings around our newly aquired towns and a polite request for them to move their units results in war once again, the vikings just dont seem to know when to go for peace !!!!

Med Inf moving into position around eastern towns.
Just a few more sessions away from first med inf attacks.

Workers being sent to viking territory to complete roads and irrigation around new Aussie citys.
