After turn 121 sent.

If the land mass in the west does not turn north soon then its going to get awfully close to coming around the world to meet the Aussies on the other side. At least when searching for the other continent later we will only have to sail north from the western landmass.

Getting close to Vikings water near their frst northern city which will be bypassed to hit more into the heart of the Vikings territory. Hopefully the Horsemen can catch up to the Archers after getting out of the mountains.

After turn 122 sent.

The northern Galley entered Viking waters near Odense and the Warriors and Archer combined into a single stack to move next to the city next turn after the Galley arrives. The following turn the catapults will unload and the next the assault will begin.

The western Galley is returning across the channel from the islands to the west back to Russian waters for more Settlers. The Scouts their have found a nice tundra valley with a lake good for ice fishing but not much else.

PLaying soon have another annoying JGL.dll error caused by CIVEXE again. Have to uninstall and re-install from scratch. Wish I knew what was causing this behavior.

After turn 123 sent.

The Vikings asked us Politely not to sail in their waters and we politely agreed to leave, for a few turns anyways. Hehe
Next turn the Catapults will be landing and the 2 Warriors and Archer will stack with them just northwest of the Viking city. Covieniantly the Vikings have completed a road to some Iron one city inland from the landing site which will be were the Warrior will be promoted to Swordsmen with the help of the once Viking Iron mines.
The Horsemen are clearing the mountains and entering the Killing Fields south of the Vikings but have not spotted any more Vikings since scarring the pee out of the one before entering the mountains. We hear he eventually screamed bloody murder and ranted insults and called on his Gods again at the Aussies who simply beheaded him for all his screaming was ruining a perfectly good hang-over.

After turn 124 sent.

The Vikings were very surprised when a force of two catapults, 2 Warriors, and 1 Archers moved next to their City after sailing through the neighboring border cities waters. An Archer was seen fleeing the Cities radius North towards the Russian Scout hding and watching the northern passes to Stavenger and the Heart of the Vikings cities.

The more southern force of 3 Archers and 2 Warriors ran into some 2 Warriors next to an Aussie city an advised them to wait for their stronger Swordsman before attacking uphill at a fortified position. Not good odds for the Warriors. Warriors low attack and defense better suited for blocking defensively in the mountains the approach of other counter attacking Viking units were the montains terrain will protect them until they can get swords of their own.

The western landmass while long appears to be nothing but mountains and tundra with a nice ice fishing lake.

After turn 125 sent.

The Warriors demonstrated their point to the Aussie Wariors when the Viking Archers attemted to attack them unsuccessfully but wounding them badly. Since they are on the front lines they will retreat behind the protection of the other Archers and the Aussies to their immediate north to recuperate.

Meanwhile...

At Oslo the first volleys of the Catapults went wide and far of the cities watching Spearmen who in the spirit of Monty Python and the Holy Grail yelled down from their fortified positions, 'Nasty English Kaniggets go AAway or I shal taunt you a second time.' and stuck out their tongues and spat at the Russian attackers.

After turn 126 sent.

In the future we should also communicate Wonder projects to eliminate confusion and maximize both our production capabilites.

The catapults in the north hit once out of the two shots and since there is only a single Archer there we will wait to get two good shots then attack. Hopefully the Vikings will be too bust in the north dealing with the Aussies and the Russians their to reinforce Oslo.

The Horsemen near the Swordsmen about to attack the new Viking coastal city in the Killing Fields motioned that more Viking warriors were moving down out of the hills and moutains to the North.

The center force next to the city on the hill surrounded by mountains spawned another Archer who was unsuccessful in Attacking the Russians in the protective Mountains. Other Viking forces, 2 Archers and a Swordsman, are moving up to flanking positions on the east side of the city.

Vikings sue for peace before attacks and they cede a city, we moving further troops up for final battle. little do the vikings suspoect that we will break the agrement !!!!!

After turn 127 sent.

Yes but we did not know that the Aussies also had the Great Library also under contruction completing both very near each other. This forces all other wonders to switch except the Great Lighhouse which might be completed by a switching rival from the others. Understand that the Aussie cities would have lost production and the Wonders abilities but better planning for both of our civilizations in the future will eliminate this kind of misunderstanding and wasted production for either of us in the future. The past is the past.

The Archers and Warriors make a hasty strategic retreat north towards their original target of the Vikings Iron supply. The Horsemen to their south riding hard out of the killing fields will attack any would be pursuers of the Vikings should they happen to follow across the Valley to the North.

The catapults missed the defending Spearman but killed several Viking civilian people on both shots crushing homes instead of defenders fortifacations.

After turn 128.

The Archers traded two of their numbers for 2 of the Swordsman in the Valley north of Birka.

Another source of Iron has been located on the Islands to the west in the Mountains.

After turn 129 sent.

The Vikings counter-Attack with an Archer almost successfully but fail badly wonding the Archer. Again both Bobard attacks from the catapults fail. Thinking of moving forces on inland to link up with other Archer fleeing into the Mountains to the south towards the original primary target. The Horsemen are about to attack the flanks of the Viking couter-attack in the central mountains. Another Horsemen is on his way from the Mountains in the South. Must kill the Viking reinforcements to sustain the invasion.

Wounded Archer Heading North also falls prey to Viking Swordsmen. Must deny the Iron resource near the City in-land. Hopefully the Horsemen can intercept the 4 to 6 Viking Warriors that are heading there now before the Vikings can up-grade them with Swords.

Cool thought I had lost you there for a while. Let me save the work on the new scenario and I will play my turn as quick as I can.

By the way the maps look great for the huge worlds at 362x362 its gonna be a long epic style game scenario and the resources are looking good just needs some balancing and adding the units and some more advances and it will be ready for a trial run. Probably next week at the earliest.

The Vikings are moving down from the city to attack the catapults. With the Archer wounded it might be tough for the two Warriors to match up against two Swordsmen. Hope the Horsemen can get over the Mountains pretty quick or this invasion attempt will be stalled.
