I am on-line now and will be for a while so send 'em over and we can continue the war effort. Getting kinda tight up North with the 2 Warriors and a wounded Archer staring down 2 swordsmen that are approaching fast. Might have to beat a hasty strategic retreat until the 2 Horsemen can reach the other units by crossing over the mountains in the central area.

Looks like the Vikings might be rush buying their Swordsmen and the Bastards beat me to the Great Lighthouse.

After turn 132 sent.

Discovered Engineering and since the Aussies are researching Fuedalism switched to Theology as the only field left unresearched with having Fuedalsim. We can swap when the Aussies get Fuedalism I guess.

Offered an Alliance vs the Vikings seeing that we are acting in accordance anyways. Also I tried to offer a right of passage agreement but maybe we already have this and thats why the agreement did not show up. I saw a swordsman running north on the road unimpeded by the new Russian border cities radius so I think we already have that agreements in place. No need to go around.

Another Viking swordsman is joining the chase in the North of the 2 Warriors guarding the 2 Catapults who are moving away as quickly as they can and waiting for the 5 turns it will take the 'cavalry' of horsemen to arrive and more even the odds. Until then they do not stand a chance against the now 3 Swordsmen advancing on the catapults who will be captured if not rescued by the horsemen.

After turn 133 sent.

If it comes down to it then they will be burnt but they still have a good chance of escaping and drawing the swordsmen away from the cities that will be attacked by other forces while they run away. Lets see who the Vikings view as more of a threat once their defending and counter attacking Swordsmen are drawn away from the then unprotected cities.

The Vikings offered peace but refused to give the Russians two cities in return. We never thought they would accept the deal in the first place.

After turn 13? sent.

The Warriors and the catapults continue their strategic retreat waiting for the horsemen to cross the mountains. One of the swordsmen caught up and attacked but after being reduced by the catapults defensive fire the Warrior was somehow able to defeat him giving the stack a few more turns of life as the other 2 Swordsmen are only one more tile away to the east and giving pusuit leaving their cities ungaurded behind them.

After turn 136 sent.

A whole lot of Viking activity near Stavenger or the city with the iron. More rush buying swordsmen I am afraid. The catapults fired and reduced the archer next to Odense to 1 hp but the Vikings replaced the Archer with 2 Swordsmen. The turns order goes from the Aussies to the Russians then the Vikings otherwise the Russians would have fired on the new Swordsmen that moved after they did. With two Warriors and two Catapults the Viking Swordsmen are going to have to be pretty wounded in order for the Warriors to be effective at attacking them once the catapults reduce their hitpoints next turn. OR should the Russians and the Aussie swordsmen retreat another 2 turns and let the Russian 2 Horsemen arrive to more even the odds in our favor drawing the Vikings further inland so the Russian Horsemen can attack them as well. Better odds this way I think. Just move where the Vikings cannot attack you first but only move next to you so you can either attack them with the iniative or retreat and wait for more units to arrive.

Some workers are moving towards the jungles completing roads on the way as they go and more Horsemen are moving north.

Hopefully the Vikings might get confused and try to shift forces from the north to their now more vulnerable southern flanks were the Aussie swordsmen are advancing. By the time they adjust it will be too late for either the northern or southern Viking counter-attacks to succede.

plan is now to consolidate the new gifted city of oslo before attacking again...

world maps and teritory maps gained from vikings as part of peace deal, not much new but sent to russians anyway..

beleive the russians need to retreat away from those viking swords..

once the new town of oslo is defended aussies plan to attack stockholm wher ethe vikings appear to be making most of their swordsman from and thereby cutting off that supply..

once that accomplished should be easy to finish vikings then distribute the winnings

The Russians continue to play cat and mouse games leading the Viking defenders farther from their now vulnerable cities. More Horsemen are heading north to face the Viking Swordsmen, Archers, and Warrior stacked together that currently is to strong for the Russians at their present strengths. When the additional Horsemen arrive the counter-attack of the Vikings will fail.

I guess the war is back on for the Aussies and the Vikings. The northern cat and mouse game is getting interesting as the swordsmen, archers, and warriors of the Vikings moved one tile back towards the Viking cities apparently worried about the single horsemen that appeared near their city. Wonder if the Vikings wil continue in that direction to attempt to stop the Aussies' southern invasion forces.

Two more Russian Horsemen were loaded on board the galley and set sail for the viking nuetral coastline to the north near Viking territory to reinforce the catapults, warriors, and Horsemen already there. Soon the Russian will have numerical superiority over the Vikings in the Northern areas.

Still need horses as the two supplies near the Russians need more time to connect. The Swordsmen stavk in the north has again moved towards the catapults forcing us to again retreat one tile back the way we just came from. Soon this battle in the North will be joined by another horsemen crossing the mountains in the north and by two more horsemen by sea in a few more turns. Lets hope we can keep up the ruse until then.

vikings are churning out the swordmen rapidly now, surprise ambush catches 2 aussie swordmen unawares and the massacre of sevens hill is declared. Word of the massacre leaves a foul taste in all of australian citizens mouths. Calls for an end to the war start as mass rallys build in the schools witihn australia.

King Kev IV calls for calm and sends entertainers out to each city to take the peoples minds of the awful carnage.

Once the russian forces arrive in force they must take that source of Iron ASAP to prevent further maassacres. The australians have already captured one source of iron from the Vikings destroying all roads leading to the iron mine.

The Russian generals agree however getting to the site without getting caught by the 6 unit stack and the roads around the site that can serve as quick reinforcement and counter attack points is currently impossible. First we must get past the forces threatening our current troops existance in the North then we can go after the iron supplies.

Forcing the meat grinder in the North by moving into it is not very wise. A few more turns for more Horsemen and catapult support and then instead of 75% to 100% casualties on our side its more like we might actually win with some units left to attack the cities. Next turn I plan on retreating away again like the previous turns to keep the Viking stack away from the cities but also to maintain our strength until more reinforcements arrive and a better odds battle can be fought. A galley is ferrying more horsemen north as we speak and more are following through the mountains. Patience here wins the day I think rather than wasting the units that we have accumulated in the North to this point only to have to repeat the process again. I would rather attack once in about 10 to 15 more turns than twice over the next 50 turns.
