having never played a pbem game before i was a bit unsure how it would go. once i got used to waiting and doing nothing on my turn and then waiting again, it was all ok, i guess once we get into later stages things will get more interesting.

Hope fully the Pacific rim game will get going soon and i can enjoy two game sat once!!!!

Yeah, I here ya.

Ouru_posted in the Pacific Rim thread that the files should be to you for turn two.

He also clarified the PTWNA game includes jsherl but not you
and that the Pacific rim includes you but not jsherl.

I agree the opening turns seem kinda slow but because we were both willing to sit down and 'turbo' pbem it should help the game progress.

Just think the 40+ turns we have just accomplished will take the other two games probably 30 to 40 days to accomplish and thats being optimistic.

I will be on-line tonight again for another session if you are willing and sleep, job, and girlfriend don't trump the time. Not to say that they shouldn't I mean a guys got to have a life too ya'know.

No Problems, gives time for a large modem download of DirectX9.0b SDK at over 222mb. A lot for my poor 56k modem to swallow even with using Leech Get 2004.

Had computer hardware issues last night anyway right around the time of your post my hard drive cable crapped out on me. I had to reconnect to the secondary connection off the cd-rom cable then restore the windows drive image that erased my registry so I had to re-install the Civ3, PTW, and patches before I could play. Took the better part of an hour so by that time it was too late for much play anyway.

OK probably should be no problem as the new settings of the computer have had at least a 12 hour burn-in time period.

The last turn sent this way that was received and played was turn 43. So if you have played 44 then that s the one I need. I think that was the one you attempted to send last night but am unsure.

Archers take an overwatch position to the east of the new border territories to watch for hostile native activity to ensure the safety of the Aussie-Russian border colonies.

Scout 1 continues towards the jungles the Aussies told us about at the end of the penisula. Want to see if any other continents or island chains might be near. Considering building watch towers on the mountains of the continents corners to look for possible foreign shiping eventually.

Scout 2 is still roaming near Moscow backtracking to reveal land missed by their initial trek through the area.

The Russian congratulate the Aussies on their new Vineyards and invite them to a wine tasting in the Border Lands for increased public relations and goodwill. Ahh, who do we think we are fooling. Just another excuse for a good border party. The local vintners just love us.
