Grammar-wise, I'm right still. When I say "the ball was thrown" I don't have to specify whom. And anyways, I meant that the two factors - cannabilism and primitive - happen to be correlated, statistically.

The joke is offensive and stereotypical-so I can understand how the TA's and prof got pissed at the absolute moron who writes this sort of thing down in an exam- but the TA was wrong in saying racism is decided by the person who hears a comment.
