BF,
That post was not terribly helpful. I'm quite clear in mind, thank you.
Dominae stated, in response to Togas, that he felt it was unproductive to "publicly deface Lucky", making reference to Togas' last paragraph.
MZ, responding to Dominae's post, also made reference to publicly defacing Lucky. It's relatively clear they are both referring to the same thing, which also happens to have been the subject of the past page and a half of this thread... feedback on Togas' post.
Now, can we PLEASE get back on subject? We still need to figure out what, if anything, we are sending to Lucky and in what form it should take.
I'm tired of dealing with all of this griping at each other.... so let's just let it rest.

I said it in the other thread... I will say it in this thread.
Lucky has always said he will abide by a Mongoose Ruling.
Use this to our advantage.
Go to Mongoose, and ask for a ruling on this matter.
Argue our case.
Tell him to make a ruling that no waring has occuring in 5 turns. It is irrelevent if a battle can occur in 6 or longer turns. The ruling was for 5 turns.
Explain to him Lucky is abusing his previous ruling.
Explain to him the problem with his previous ruling and the loopholes Lucky is using.
Explain to him, as a moderator, he can admit that his previous ruling had problems.
Explain to him, he has every right to change the rules, and make a new rule for the sake of sportsmanship & the game.
Mongoose will appreciate that Lucky is abusing his rules, and after the last UN debarcle, would surely want to avoid another hold up of the game over WW abuse.
Tell him, that us having cities on that continent does not give GCA any ability to war on us, because we will see them coming and will disband them anyway.
2.
Accept the GWT proposal as is, on the condition that GCA sends us peace immeduately. We can write it in on the final agreement.
The GWT proposal has flaws... but these can be DISCUSSED LATER. We can modify the rules, with another 4 team vote.
Just accept the ruling and get rid our our current war weariness. We can negotiate the flaws out the ruling at a later date.
3.
Send a note to GWT, and ask them if they are a party to GCA's continual abuse of the WW exploit ? They (or some of them) can be reasonable, and they do want to get rid of the exploit. They may lean on Lucky to be a little more reasonably.
We have it in our grasp to gain peace from Lucky & also eliminate the WW exploit from the game.
All it takes is a little chatting with Mongoose on the matter, and the rallying of 4 teams to accept the GWT proposal.

If GCA had to attack a Knight with a Spear in order to keep the WW hit on APO, then they(Lucky) would do it. Is it not clear that Lucky will search for any every excuse? What surprises me is that some on our team are want to remain 'cordial' with this guy. Like any amount of equally beneficial trades/talks/negotiations would ever take place with GCA from the moment we attacked them. I also feel that GWT, although not made in the same mold as GCA, will not lkikely ever be willing to work with us; the only exception to that is if CGN gets the upper hand in their war.
Diplomacy, the 'cordial' type, with GCA and, for the most part, with GWT, is a waste of time and only serves to further infuriate me and likely most others on this team.
What we need to decide is if holding those two cities over there another turn will do CGN any good. If so, then we need to find out if GCA can attack them this next turn or not. If CGN does not have that info, or has info that indicates GCA CAN attack on the next turn, then we cannot afford to let GCA take those cities and we should disband them this turn.
We can see GCA's navy near enough; can CGN sink the GCA threats to those cities?
Look's like some work for conmcb25.

OK, it's ultimatum time:
either, armed with a Mongoose ruling, we issue an 'ultimatum' of sorts to Lucky through Mongoose - peace is the ruling, therefore peace must be offered accepted. We will take it.
OR, if Lucky stonewalls further against a Mongoose ruling, we get CGN, CFC and GWT onside about wanting to play the game further. If we let GWT know (very politely!) about Mongoose's ruling and how we are to stick to them, and that Lucky is breaking the rules in the most contemptuous manner, I am sure they will join us. They have already shown a desire to keep the game going in the face of disunity on a decision. We are not trying to disadvantage them, just to stop something even they admit is open to exploitation (that they too have proposed a solution for recently), that Mongoose has ruled upon. We may have to consider forcing GCA's turn if Lucky keeps his hubris any longer. Then they can go right back to war with us if they like - the WW will be done.
