Didn't the ETA deny involvement?
|
Yes, they did it the Friday in a comunication to this newspaper--->www.gara.net. You can see it in English too. --->http://www.gara.net/azkenak/orriak/art74502.php
But the goverment said That it didn't had relevance.

Is there anything that actually proves they were or weren't involved? |
No, nothing involves them for certain: another kind of Explosives, a very important logistic Operation and cordination...

It's an awful tragedy, and it just goes to show how ineffective Bush's policies have been. 2 years into the war on freedom, and 200 citizens can die in a single terror attack in an industrialized nation. And it was from the terror organization that we supposedly broke.
Then the Spanish government leaders go on to say that ETA did it at first. Spain guys, do they derive political advantage from saying that? Was there any proof to back that up then?
|
Yes, because an AlQaeda terrorism's act would substract a lot of votes to Popular Party. The Popular Party was the only one party who wants to send troops to Irak.

Another guy mentioned in another thread that cell phones were ringing on the dead bodies, because their families were calling them to see if they were okay. Is this true? That's just creepy.

Thats true. Horrible.

Enough politicizing though. to Spain, and I will keep Madrid in my thoughts. |
Thanks.

I'm wondering what the reaction is in Spain and also in Europe at large. Are the people blaming more the radical muslims or the US?

Ah, I see.
So if terror attacks increase after the War on Terror, then imagine how many we would've had if there hadn't been a war at all.
And if they decrease, then it's obviously the brilliance of Bush or the USA, and all those liberals were wrong.

I was wrong before: it was indeed the Al Qaeda who did this.
I think the Spanish public would severely punish the ruling party and demand an escalation of war on terror at same time.
Anyway, I'm not really surprised by this attack. France may be the next.

May-be ETA hire outside help. In some Mafic hit in America the local mob hire hitman from than other city control by the Mafic to kill than witness or another mob member to avoid certain problem, like the local police know what very local mafic hitman look like.

This could show Spain to not to support America in it illegal religious war on Islam. French have nothing to worry about the headscarf law as most threats from Iran is just hot air.
I wouldnot rule out than Hindic Terrorist Group either from doing this to blame Islam for it either.
