Gaddafis links to terrorism have never been proved. Of the two men who were arrested for perpetrating the lockerbie bombing only one was sentenced. the only evidence was an eyewitness report from a Maltesian clothes dealer who says he sold a shirt to one alleged terrorist bearing resemblance to one found in the luggage carrying the bomb.

Never heard of this before. How exactly did he help the IRA? If it was through selling arms Gaddafi will have to get in line after the Americans and the Russians.

And why is it a crime to help out the IRA? Is their struggle not legitimate, as any other struggle against an oppresive state?
