i once recommended donating a city on the continent to the americans so they can fly in their troops. the journey across the pacific ocean is a long way and it would be a shame to lose time from all the productive cities in north america...

urgent report from the southern front, the Japanese are moving in. Intense fighting has already taken place at the battle of Canton Hill. Infantry managed to drive the approaching enemy out of Chinese fortified territory, with the cost of an elite squad of infantry men, and the destruction of the Kunming Flying Tigers unit. may the brave pilots RIP

on the north eastern front, general Mao is glad to report that the enemy has been routed out of the Kaifeng area. aerial bombing has already commenced around Peking, and fighters have scouted out a jap naval task force in the Yellow sea, consisting of destroyers and one cruiser, escorting a transport ship.

domestically, new railroads have been built, and most major cities are now connected to the railline. And thanks to American and Commonwealth donations, industry is producing military machines at an incredible pace.

The issue of handing over a city to the Americans was also brough up this month, and representatives from the peoples revolutionary army of china refuse to allow any such thing, while reps from the peoples republic of china think perhaps it will happen in the future, however in the meantime they've pointed out that Manilla is already close enough to the mainland as it is

I have sent advanced flight to you all, enjoy.

This turn saw the Commonwealth in action at Bangkok, I feel we almost captured this city and imagine we soon will have it.

Jap seems to be weakening and is sending only green conscripts out to battle us in the fields. They still have the upper hand regards air power and are sinking many of our vesssels, thus we are pulling ships back as they are too valueble to keep losing.

we are building quite a sizable worker force now in Oz and almost have all cities connected to the mainline railroad, estimating 4 more turns to completion. and we now have six operational airports in Oz too, so reinforcing Singapore is quite easy.

Our focus will now shift from research to gold accumulation for a few turns to enable the rush building of more units, and our workers will turn back to mining and roadbuilding as soon as the railroad is done.

in the last two of seemingly eventless weeks unfortunatly our only two strong ships were sunk by japanese bombing runs.
we lost a further sea unit, when a submarine lost against a small japanese ship near manila. we hope there is an allied ship around to sink those bastards to the bottom of the ocean ground!

meanwhile, our workerforce has been stocked up to make some primitive islands productive, while the productive islands are continuing to create battle units. unfortunatly, only very few such useful production centres exist! as soon as we have a 2nd transport ship, we will land an invasion force to take away the island of palau!

we welcome the positive news from the chinese allies, that managed to split the japanese occupied mainland territories in 2 bits and we are positive that the commonwealth can clean out the japs from southern indochina!

the battle of Canton Hill continues to rage on, with August results much more favorable than July. A japanese entry route was bombed and cratered, and intruding conscripted Nipponese infantry have been killed with zero casualties

Nanking is now under siege. The city is heavily fortified with enemy troops, although it should be liberated shortly.

and the chinese indochina pillaging task force is 1 tile away from (what appears to be) Japans last source of rubber, which is currently unprotected. once this resource is pillaged, chinese think-tanks believe the war will be much easier

Ah My Allies it is with great joy that I report to you all the successful capture of Bangkok, with no losses, though Jap did counter attack and managed to destroy our first light tank regiment.

It will be missed but we are confident we can hold onto the town and prees ahead into the region further

dear allies

at first a warning to the commonwealth: 3 tiles north east (2 tiles north of palau) of your battleship "BB Prince of Wales" the 3 japanese ships are floating around sinking my few ships. we kindly ask you to attack this stack by either bombard or full assault!

except the loss of a precious element of the royal dutch fleet, no combat took place and nothing special happened.
the workers are gradually building up the cities and we hope to be productive before the commonwealth and the chinese solve the japanese "problem" all by themselves.

by the way: as requested by the former leader of the united states (a canadian) amphibious warfare is beeing researched and will be completed in 3 months. all our allies will instantly get the knowledget our scientists aquired!

Nanking has been liberated

The battle of Canton hill continues on. This has been so far the worst month in terms of casualties, with the entire infantry and MG battalion wiped out. The japanese must have a very large and strong force stationed down there

Fortunately, the chinese we're able to regain the lost positions and managed to strike at the enemy. Due to such valiant fighting, the prominent and exceptional General Sun has been promoted and given command of the southern defense.

The japanese rubber supply in indochina seems to have been bombed, and chinese units are now standing on it. can anyone with spy abilities confirm the japanese resource status?

Our troops have held bangkok successfully, and reinforcements are pouring into the region. To our chinese allies we had no spare gold this turn but will resume the aid packages next month. We are grateful to your troops helping out in this region.

There are fresh troops arrived in the Hong kong region we spotted a transport convoy heading in that direction so be on your guard, to US and netherlands we all seem to have some subs there we may be able to make some kills.

I am attaching a shot of the Palau region with this despatch, the BB Prince of wales has made a kill in these waters sending a jap cruiser to the ocean floor, we can also confirm that there are two Jap carriers here one cruiser and another battleship that just left harbour at Palau, sabre you have two subs their go get them and anyone else who has boats in this area, Im sending 2 subs and a destroyer from the SE to try and intercept.

unfortunatly guys, i won't be able to play my turn tonight... been up all day at a symposium and i feel completely sucked dry (of energy, not of what you may be thinking ). 4.5 hours sleep and stuffing food in you every 2 hours definatly doesn't make one fitter

you sure the prince of wales wasn't sunk by the japanese? I was under the assumption it was, along with the Repulse, and Electra, and iirc it was by the japs.

anyway following this trend of image attachements, here's a little reminder of the true historical power of our enemy. as unlikely as it may be, you guys better pray the SID japs don't have any seaborn samurais out and about

another great month for the dutch fleet! our two submarines sank 2 japanese ships north of palau: one heavy cruiser and one destroyer! however, our subs are seriously battered from the underwater mines that were released by the japanese ships and will not survive any counter attack! so we please to ANY ships in the vicinity to immediately engage! the 2 ships are heavy cruisers and 2 tiles north of palau! with the force of all allied ships, we can finally remove the japanese dominance of the region.

during the attack, we sneaked in 5 units on to the island on palau. 4 infantry and 1 flak unit are hopelessly outgunned by the defences, but we're hoping for a japanese counterattack which may kill some of them! if we're lucky, the japanese fighter in the city (spotted when bombing the city) may attack and get lost to our flak.

our fleet has grown by 3 transport ships! so finally, we can move out troops around and bring in reinforcements!

on the economical side: a further city has reached a productive level and is starting to train military units. in the next 3 months, further 5 cities will be ready to do the same! by beginning of 1943 we should have all cities pumping out units to take island by island! our goal is to take the island of okinawa to buy some steel from hattori hanzo

research still on track for airbourne warfare in 2 months! these units may be weak but can be used to block passages and resources, especially in well defendable territories (jungle, hills, mountains)
