Those would be E and F.

Btw, I would also like us to prioritize getting roads and mines to those two new sites, as well as to PH.

Got spare money?

The only problem with Togas' plan is that it does not take corruption into account: Read this thread, and if you understand it and figure out how much waste there will be, you will understand that sites E and F need to be pop three before they are at 5 spt. During this time they could be building barracks, so that is not such a problem, but they need to have about 7 shields before corruption, so they will be stuck at size three for a while (they would need to work forests).

Those are on the second ring. Can any of the first ring cities get us any production? The corruption would be less as well, and we could get inner rings settled faster (ya I know Im being obvious here) as well.

And Im no corruption expert but I believe the order you settle in has something to do with it as well, or is that just a tie breaker for same distance cities?

In either case shouldn't we get the inner ring built first?

We're settling from our little core near Apolyton. The 'rings' that were mentioned have a projected new palace (the blue dot) as their center.

We'd therefore better focus on good sites that can be settled fast, not on sites that are closer to the projected new core.

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

Unfortunately, the inner (plains) cities don't have the growth and production we'd like to see to get out units quickly.

We can get sites E and F up to pop 3 relatively quickly. Even considering corruption, they should be better production cities than the other sites.

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

Looking at it, I have to agree E is the best site for now. But the corruption!

After this settler, we need to get some more workers so we can irrigate some plains and finish settling a closer-in ring around poly.

Suffering from ads?

Next site after F should be E or Ivory.

E = high production and growth site which will require little worker improvements.

Ivory = valuable resource and possible future palace location.

B, C, and D should be after that, perhaps in that order. Why? They all require worker improvements which we don't have built nor do we have the resources to allocate yet, and they are not in areas which we immediately need cities. I'd far prefer to build up the "front line" cities first so that they're strong and productive when we need them down the road.

I dunno if I'm taking this out of context or not, but GodKing said in the current military thread that he had already decided on ivory as our next city site.

Of course, I also prefer the ivory site at this point. The lux will be most useful when the war comes around.

I'm ok with the Ivory site next, unless the team prefers site E, which I feel is equally important to our long-term objectives.

GK's opinion is just his opinion. Our ministers are advisors only.
