I'm really sorry to hear that sabre, are you sure you won't change your mind? We're in for a cracking game and it wouldn't be the same without you.

well, i've got too many games running anyways and too many promised. this one is a clear builder game (--> more micromanagement) and won't be over within a year...

if i start now and would decide later to leave, someone would have to take over. and no one likes having to finish other people's games...

Hello gentlemen,

Since Sabrewolf let me know that he was leaving a PBEM due to time issues and left his spot vacant I would initially feel inclined to agree with taking his place. But since this game seems to me as being a higher difficulty game as I am used to (meaning I would lose within the very first days) I believe I should be looking for less experienced games and playing single player before I can catch up with you guys and not ruin a PBEM for the others. I thank sabre for his indication and hope you find a replacement

khan, the difficulty setting justs alters the amount of corruption and the amount of content citezens. You are welcome to join us, and since we are separated at the start (we are all on separate islands), and the land is preety similar, you should not be so far behind.

Before last saturday, I used to play on warlord difficulty. But I have to agree it was far too easy. I'm now playing Monarch and holding my ground against the enemy. Even though I don't know how they are going to be when I attack them, because I haven't tried yet :P

I'm now the newest monarch player in Poly I believe.

I do believe howerver I'm not good enough to be playing with so many of you Emperors yet I'd prefer to improve a little before trying a high level PBEM. BUT, if you cannot find any replacement I'd be happy to fill up the form to join your game.

Let me know if you can't find anyone else And again i'm sorry for waiting but I think it's the best way to go with this.

It would be nice to have you onboard Khannalxytyx, I garantee that after a few PBEMS you'll be twice as good a player as you are now. Best way to learn is to play.

While I can guarantee playing a turn per day, I can't guarantee more than that. So if you are ok with a turn per day and don't mind me hiding behind the strongest of you (). Just let me finish studying and I'll read the full thread to see the game specifics..

Khan, is their anytime over this weekend that you will be free to do some multi turn sessions? I mean really quick turns, about 1/2 hour for one whole round to get this PBEM off the ground. The same question applies to all of you as well

khan, you may be to them here what some are to alexman, trip, etc... slightly worse (then half as good :lol. but where better to learn than in a builder PBEM

if you want, i can give you advice from time to time.

as for the difficulty level: minimal differences in corruption... the bigger problems is happiness! you "only" get 2 content citizens instead of the 3 from warlord. doesn't seem like a lot... but it is! lux slider and micromanagement is the secret

The first PBEM that I entered (2-a-day) was with alexman, jshelr and Conqueror. All play a level above me (Alexman could beat sid if he wanted to, I have no doubts). Admitadly that PBEM is not the usual PBEM that one would expect, it has taught me a thing or two.

(Namely beware being on the end of a 3 way alliance, and do not expect an easy ride. War all of the way, and protect all of your settlers with spears, never use warriors to protect etc)

And the MMing is alot easier, since you are in no rush to finish the turn. It really is fun.

soon you'll have to have 3 installations... with the new patch which should be coming up in the next months. hopefully 1.22 --> 1.2x will work better

ps: so we all have similar UUs? didn't quite get why 3 of us have the Sipahi as our national pride. (even in the name of game balance - I'm not saying I disagree, i'm simply saying I didn't get the point.)

Hm some player changes i see. Map is (almost) ready to play, but i need to start the turns, so i need the info on the new player PM'ed to me (password, leader name etc.)

I assume all old values of sabre's civ will transit to Khannal ?
If not, then Khannal or someone PM me with new traits etc and i'll change them.
