1. The posts in the West were just acknowledgements of your attacks, they were not counter-attacks. Our side was waiting on Frankychan's move before responding. We were just reacting to him when you posted about your uber-bomb. Your armour is untouched because nobody's had a chance to post about attacking it yet!

2. You destroyed the Auldoninna flagship in port, fine. But there is no indication that you are in control of Tel Azan again.

3. Your "x-bomb" is ridiculous. You might as well have posted that one of your super-soldiers destroyed the city with his heat vision.

One bomb, rendering an entire city uninhabitable? I don't think so.A sustained bombardment, perhaps... but even then, you'd need to find a way to this powder inside buildings, etc, if you wanted to actually kill everybody.

OOC: Lazerus, about your question on the attack in the direction of Hofesh, Your attack was on the other side of the river. And you've indeed continued pushing there ( And you can see my forces retreating through the mountains. My attack was in a continuation of the Auldoninnan push up in that same map, a push that is supported from that side of the river, and is not threatened by your push. And since you have your army on the other side, I am facing FCL opposition only, and a weak one at that ( since their line has been in that front much previously in the game, through Auldoninna's amphibious landing, and my simultaneous ground attack, encircling about a half of FCL forces in an enclave in Concept. Those, being surrounded, and unsupplied, are retreating.)

I think this whole situation is missing something here....it's all about interpretation.

To the Hive commander's P.O.V., he would see the strike and the weapon used as making the city uninhabitable. I interpreted it as being (as Mr. President said) a daisy cutter bomb. This would flatten the city, without being a nuke, and thereby making the city uninhabitable to the Hive's point of view. Destroying most of the cities infrastructure would be a devastating blow to Tel Azan. I think you are all taking it too literally.

I did not see this as a total violation of the game once I re-read it. I see this situation as the Hive adopting a scorched-earth policy. Basically, if the Hive can't have it, no one will. I was planning on having Frankychanland adopting a quasi-scorched earth policy, but decided against it because Frankychanland and Azan share the island together. Bad blood between are two nations will already permeate diplomacy for a long time.

Anyway, I do not see the Hive's actions as a nuke. But I wait Lazerus' response.

If it is Bilogical then auldonina must have the right to a full rataliation , if the post is re wrote to say it only a cluster bomb attack, whislt sad the city is badly damaged, seeing it was onyl one plane, i think the majority of the city will still stand.

but if this is biological, we will respond in kind and worse.... this type of atrocity must not be tolerated.....

You know, Al Mastif could do with one of those...
We've just been using 'Organ Enema v3.4' on those Khaftanis.
While fun, it takes quite few minutes to take full effect, and while much more enjoyable, it's not quite as effective.

Actually, Organ Enema v3.3 is now up for sale, if anybody wants some.
That, and the rest of our fun and whacky range of chemical and biological weapons.
And, if you post within the next five days, we'll even throw in a free Pilates yoga mat!

Well, the way I see it, if Lazerus says the Hive dropped an "X-bomb", then I guess the Hive dropped an "X-bomb". The actual effects of the attack may be subject to discussion, but the action as such has already taken place and everyone should roleplay accordingly.

As for Auldoninna's right to retaliate, Guardinia will only support a retaliatory strike if it is directed against military targets and / or aimed at those responsible for dropping the "X-bomb".

If we see a massive WMD attack, we will consider Auldoninna to be no better than the Hive.

Hmmm... I smell godmodding in Rasputin's last post(s). He's now claiming to be able to hack what would presumably be the highest level of encryption available to the Hive, on short notice, without detection, and then hit that locationwith an unspecified 'warhead' that would presumably be enough to actually hurt it (so quite possibly a nuclear one).

Of course, it does not seem to have occurred to the Auldoninnas that the 'HQ' they targetted might well have been a decoy - if I was a paranoid tyrant with a secret HQ, one of the first things I'd do would be to route my radio communications through somewhere, preferably from multiple redundant locations.

actually that did occur to me, which is why in my psot i stated we needed a 12 yr old hacker to get the location... as most are aware, even the USA Defence computers have been hacked into on occasion. all i did was get the 12 yr old to trace the satelltie pick ups off the radio transmissions, not such a hard thing to do. And we all know 12 yr olds can do anything with computers....

besides all that, i havfent stated that any real HQ was hit, that upto the hive, i just stated i launched weopons, and targetted him.

the rest of the misisles were aimed at obvious military targets, airfields, harbours etc very easy to target fro msatellite.

no godmoding here at all, all this is doablwe with todays technology.

i not so sure about the hives x bomb attack but i lived with it and now posted my repsonse, ill be interested, but i know howe he will repsond....

It was exactly this kind of horseshit that I was trying to avoid with the no-nuke rule. It's just too easy for someone to be a jerk and start firing off WMD whenever roleplay starts going against them.

Luckily for the Azanis, they are all inoculated with Serum-Y as infants, so the X-bomb, rather than kill them, resequenced their genetic code, giving them all super-human powers.

Freeways from Roshem to Tal Zach: the A-50 that goes through After, and the A-99E, that goes from Ronya.

There are also main roads, and other roads, and various rail, and other transportation devices, but those are of less importance right now.

In reponse to UR's "where did you see those Hive forces coming from" in the other thread- I actually got my cities mixed up by the looks- either way, the reported amount of Hive troops there means this is entirely possible and allied forces deserve a good kicking for taking over so much of Azan so quickly...

I believe he changed that to have his tanks come down the Tel Azan-Hofesh highway (ie, 2 columns headed roughly the same way) That means a head-to-head encounter with Auldoninna before he could get anywhere near Ronya. The third column went around the other way to attack Roshem.

and those 2 columns met the full force of the auldonina airforce whilst his airforce were bombing tel azan and my flag ship... so that column is of no consequnce, only the one heading to roshem is still to be dealt with....
