Perhaps someone could compile some sort of 'Beginners guide to topping yourself', there seems a dire need for it because hardly anyone manages to succeed when they 'try'

2) Use a safe method dont go with those trying methods like painkillers, sleeping pills or poison
Best methods known:
a) Gun
b) Rope

if you really need to go with poison use an overdose Heroin. As I heard not much pain like with other poisons + the chance you succeed with the suicide is good.

I found "my" suicide threatener's identity through knowing (a) his first name, (b) what town he lived in, and (c) the fact that he went on a six-week school trip to Vietnam the previous fall.

(The town had two schools, one of which had made the relevant trip, so I googled the responsible teacher's name and called her up.)

Matter of fact, rope didn't work for me... the thing I was hangin it on broke, although I did have a very red neck and did go unconscoius.... btw, not recommended, highly painful...

Hanging isn't known as a very effective method of suicide, is it? I've heard of plenty of people who've failed.

There was an incident with a CFC poster who started a thread about whether it was good to cut yourself. What rather surprised me was that when mods went asking for contact details for the guy, several posters popped up and said that if one had such info, one shouldn't hand it over, because they might be out to harass the poor guy. That's trust for you.

If you're hanging yourself, just make sure you're breaking your neck and it's pretty painless and quick. If you're hanging yourself causing you to choke then you're a world of pain yeah...

If you have a gun, just put it in your mouth and it's over, provided you aim straight ahead. Putting it against your forehead might make you tilt the gun a bit upwards causing a heavy wound that might not kill you (instantly).

Jumping from a 30 storey building might be very efficient, but even a suicider might be afraid to jump, you will need the guts to do it.

Of course, strapping some explosives around your waist and detonating them is painless and quick too; just make sure you're all alone.

That may not be the best example, BK. I've had exes I'd wish that on, though never ones I wanted to inflict it on badly enough to really consider it.
