maybe I'm just jealous. I hate it when women swoon after criminals and bad men. Even serial killers get more ***** than I do. Women continuously continue to stay with men that beat the **** out of them. I'll never understand that one.

Why does it bother you? I very much doubt people stay with a violent partner cause they find that side of them attractive.

Because of human psychology. Abuse puts the absuer in the position of parent/authority, and the absued into the position of child. Many of the abused have a psychological need to please the abuser, to try and earn love.

As for people's opinion on blackice, while I admit posting only articles that show the injustice against men is hardly equal, all I have seen him arguing for is equality in everything. When it comes to custody rulings and the like, there isn't equality. Women have laws meaning they get the same pay, conditions, etc at work, and highlighting that men don't get that with regards to custody is a valid point. Whether they should or not is a different matter, but he does have a point that some things are not equal.

Also, the constant abusing usually destroys the self-confidence of the abused, causing them to be depedent on the abusers. Thus, it's not enough to separate the abused from the abusers physically, it is paramount to rebuild their self-confidence.
