ok im flustered. The walkthroughs say Mourning for trees is at the Smouldering corpse bar. Ive looked in the bar, and all around it, and cant find said character. I may have met MFT earlier, and not completed the dialogue correctly, or maybe didnt have mebbeths seed yet. So is MFT gone forever??? Am i not looking in the right place? Id really like to make nameless into a mage, and this seems the only way to do it. Help PLEASE.


I think ive figured out from the Walkthroughs how to get Morte back. IIUC, its not just having a skull to give Lothar, its going where Lothar sends me and then getting a skull.

I think ive also figured out how to get into the siege tower, again if i understand the walkthroughs correctly.

Do not play using walkthroughs! You will lose great deal of fun by following them. Try figuring what to do by yourself, and then seek help. The walkthrough is wrong. MFT should be north of the bar (nit inside it) - so check it.

Ive avoided the walkthroughs much farther into this game than I did for BG - of course then i was new to the genre.

PST seems more puzzlelike than BG, and while I will spend a good bit of time exploring, talking to characters, etc, at some point walking around the same places looking for some item or dialogue Ive overlooked is simply too frustrating (esp for a game whos general atmosphere and plot Im finding a bit wearing) While I appreciate your help on this thread very much, sometimes I cant coordinate my playing time to my posts and responses here.

And I wouldnt expect you to post continuous answers heres, the way a CERTAIN POSTER does on BG threads. While his posts are very helpful, and obviate the need for a walkthrough even for a lazy player, Im glad the posters here HAVE A LIFE

ok, ive read the dodecahedron.

Ive restored that headless guys head.

Ive sold the grimoire, and some other stuff id accumulated, and now have 10,000 gold. I need some more level 3 and 4 spells for Nameless and Daakon, cant seem to find any for sale.

I tried undersigil for more ex pts, but

Im not sure what to do next to advance the story - talk to the zirth circle you say?

Theres someone i need to talk to gain access to the bridge to the siege tower I think, but i forget who.

spoiler(highlight to read): Worms are tough, but beatable. You need to lure one or two to your party and then engage them, do not try facing all of them alone, unless you wield Entropic Blade. Talking to Zerthimon's circle won't advance you in story at all, but will give you spells and ackground information (successfull decoding depends on your wisdom level). I think yo need to talk to a boy in a store in Lower Ward to find out what is the key. Be sure to solve all quests in Sensate Hall, Forge and Siege Tower, as well check Modron's Cube. No need to advance story for now, once you leave Sigil game becomes straightforward. However, to leave Sigil you will need portal and a key - > this will include regaining some memories to remember where the portal is, as well as giving voice back to that girl in brothel.

OK i explored the zirth circle, first level only - i also did the siege tower thingie, and bought gauntlets for Annah.

ok, I finished all the brothel quests (and the quests that had to be done first to finish them) and found Mordrons cube.


I have again used walkthroughs, but not to follow them, just to scan quickly where Im stuck. I got two useful hints for above, but still ended up figuring out most of the rest on my own.


I have a couple of outstanding quests Id like to finish - then its just a matter of figuring out where to use Modrons cube, I guess.

Modron's Cube is a door to a location - > a dungeon simulator (serious) where you can also find Nordom - the only ranged character in the game (must have) as well as useless items to sell for money and a quest. Also, you can later

ok so i went to the sensoriums - interesting from a literary point of view, plus the exper. pts.

got the first legacy.

Then went into the hive - im trying to finish the pistle and kiln (?) quest, but forgot where they are. In any case wandering around the hive gives me the chance to kill thugs, and so get loot, refilling my purse depleted at the curiosity shop. Also killed a black Abishai, just to see if my party was up to it.

Still want more spells - maybe if i go back to mebbeth she'll have some. Or maybe there are some for sale from the Sensate society. Or maybe ill find some as i move along the plot.


Still need to go back and give the guy in the private sensorium what he asked for.

OK, im stuck on the ravel thing even with walkthroughs.

spoiler(highlight to read): I talked to the stone, and didnt get the details the walkthroughs say i should get. I talked to quell and nothing on ravel = perhaps i missed a chance right when i gave him the chocolate? Ravel doesnt come up in the Ecco dialogue. The only thing i can think of is trying Ecco again now that i got the mirror, or whatever it was, from the foundry. Maybe now she will talk. It does seem like theres an expected order for these things, and its possible to screw it up by doing them in the wrong order Meanwhile ive gone to the Mordrons cube. Very interesting, but challenging on difficult. Ive gone back to the hive to sell stuff, rest, etc and will go back to pick up Nordrom.

havent done the main plot lately, just the Mordron maze. Kinda hard, even with moderate buffing i find a 3 creature room hard, and have twice lost a party member, which is a pain cause even though i can revive them I lose most of their stuff. And im low on funds, and going around the hive attacking thugs to make money is boring, esp since i also have to go sell most of what i get from them.

also got morte back, and advanced the Ravel plot. Stole fireteeth for Morte. Now Im up to the point where

Once ive figured that out, or someone here tells me, or i check a walkthrough, it will be on to Ravel, I assume, and things should move quickly. May not be playing much the next couple of days.

spoiler(highlight to read): It has been a while, sorry. So you have Nordom? You can dump Ignus if you want, however don't take FFG into party - useless character. I am not sure, but if you got the experience and scrolls form evil wizard you should check siege tower near the end of game - when you return to sigil -he will offer you Entropic Blade- excellent weapon for any fighter for the maze. About teeth - they are upgradable. You should ahve Ingress teeth - if you finished her quest int he begining - as Morte gains levels you can 'modify' them. Also you can buy teeth in Buried Village and Clerks Ward. About Ravel's daughter - if I recall you need to talk to one other prostitute which will then tell you about halfsister of Ravel's Daughter (another of prostitutes) which will then suggest to you to ask Ravel daughter to ask their father for truth. previous sentence looks confusing, doesn't it, and I dont remember teh names - once again - talk to prostitutes until one tells you about halfsister of prostitute that denies being Ravels dughter. Got that? Then talk to that prostitute (for which you have jsut learned abotu being halfsister) which will tell you about their father. Then return to the original prostitute which will then ask her father if she is the daughter. If you are not - youu should get some blood for portal. Now you can leave Sigil if you got the frame of teh portal.

spoiler(highlight to read): True Fall from Grace was useless in a fight, but I don't remember the fights being especially hard by this point in the game. And for my value having a hot succubus around was worth while. I pretty much used her as a walking bag of health potions. With the occasional offensive spell, she would die first though. Plus I think she could raise the dead. When I played I failed to get the ability to raise your dead party members, because I mouthed off to my ex in the bottom of the Mortuary, so she never gave me the special power.

been through curst, curst underground. Now in Curst prison. Game a bit simpler here, but still interesting dialogues, etc. Still have FFG, but ready to get rid of her soon.

ughh, prison was harder than i expected. I went through it and lost all but TNO and morte, with no resurrect party member powers left till TNO sleeps. i didnt save. I'll try again, either from curst underground, or from curst itself.

spoiler(highlight to read): didnt realize so much gold available - i should have spent all i had in curst on magic arrows, healing potions, etc
