Very different! Best story ever, world is different characters are different. As for you - you will get an insanely powerfull character which cant die (point of the game is to die), which will have über characteristics and überweapon.

I got mine at Walmart for $10 packaged with Soulbringer. I'm not sure if you can still find that combo at Walmarts. It may be out of print.

In the used game bin of my local ebgames. While it mainly sells console games, like most Eb's, apparently the local manager had the space, and bought up several collections of old PC games. He doesnt seem to obsessivly reasearch prices for individual games. Ive become a steady customer - ive gotten good prices on BG, PS:T, PG2, and MSFlightSim98.

Bargain bin diving is fun - its a game in itself.

Of course you have to be flexible about what you want. I mean for my next game (assuming QOTM and I havent yet settled on a new PC - in that case next game is EU/EU2) id like TOAW. But i know he doesnt have that. He does have several other RPGS like Fallout, and Pools of Radiance, and he has warcraft 2 - so i just might fill out my collection with them, if the price is right. Its a different approach

yes, patches can be found in other places.

Althoug It's possible the 2 disk set doesn't need any patches. That is the new packaged version. The original had many more CD's.

Tass will be happy! Planescape: Torment was my 2nd favorite role playing experience ever (after Fallout, at a time I had little idea of what an RPG was supposed to be). Great story, and I LOVE the dialogue (even though some say it is too much).

Not sure how to use it. If i walk up to him and speak, he reacts the same as if i didnt have it (IE not at all). I tried putting it into quick items, but got message that I didnt have necessary ability - i think was true for all of my party members (nameless, daakon, mort, and Annah)
Should i have put the decanter into a weapons slot?

I do not remember, but you should be able to activate it in dialogue? Have you tired all the options? Have you talked to women which is fascinated with him? Perhaps the dialogue option has not yet showed up. Have you tried using decanter in you inventory?

i spoke to the woman back before I got the decanter. I'll try her again. Perhaps she will give me the special word?

Ah yes - that aoskar women (is that the correct anme for the race) should tell you the name - you will have to go to the other part of the Sigil to do so (I think).

I'm almost tempted to just go ahead and get it as is if there isn't an emulator I can use. After all, Gabriel Knight III worked just fine, despite only being guaranteed on Win 95/98/ME.
