The first time I played through I went in blind, and wound up missing a lot of quests (spoiler(highlight to read): f'rinstance, I never got the "fiend-in-the-box" quest, and so I never did the "alley of dangerous angles" quest, plus I never got Nordrom or Vhailor, nor did I go back for the bronze sphere after Pharod was killed by the shadows, etc.
| ), so the second time I found a good walkthrough so that I wouldn't miss anything. The second time was probably as good as the first, since there was so much gameplay that I'd missed out on the first time (spoiler(highlight to read): not to mention that I'd missed out on two possible endings the first time through, since I wasn't intelligent/wise enough to defeat the Transcendent One through dialogue options and wound up having to duke it out with him
| ). I'm finding that the third time through isn't as fun -- unlike in BG, there's not much difference between playing a lawful-good or a chaotic-evil character, except that chaotic-evil characters get a bit less XP and a bit more gold than lawful good characters, plus I seem to be attacked by thugs far more often as an evil character than as a good character.

so does anyone know spoiler(highlight to read): where the anvil is? Im trying to use the foundry, and have the stuff from the clerk, and the iron, and theres supposed to be an anvil lying around, but no one will tell me where. Im tired of pixel hunting - any hints?
|
Also im in clerks ward and went into the curiosity shop spoiler(highlight to read): tried selling annah, but that didnt work out well. Is selling a party member a bad idea, despite what the book i found earlier says?
|
I do hope Im getting close to the end.

Already answered , you can find all the items in the foundry.

spoiler(highlight to read): You can sell a useless party member, like Fall-from-Grace, to get the Adder's kiss spell. Completing all the tasks will give you Power Word Kill spell.

Althrough I do not know what you have done, or have not, I suppose you completed around 55 percent of the game. Do not worry, once you leave Sigil, things are more straightforward and faster. Be sure to visit spoiler(highlight to read): Modrons's Maze and Siege Tower

Blood bridge is a pretty common spell, I think it might even be a random drop, but at any rate I'm almost sure that somebody sells it. It's a lot more useful to have Nameless One cast it than Dakkon, seeing as how Nameless One regenerates like a madman if you're playing lawful-good. Ignus and Fall-From-Grace also regenerate (I assume that Ignus could cast blood bridge, though like I said I dumped him and never had him learn it), but not nearly as quickly as a beefed-up Nameless One -- it can be a problem with Fall-From-Grace, who's a real idiot in battle.
I don't think you need any of Nameless One's journals to finish the game, though they give good experience and some really help later on. At this point you can probably leave Sigil whenever you want (after completing the "getting the stuff to leave Sigil" quest, of course).
spoiler(highlight to read): Pharod has the bronze sphere, which you should pick up -- it's a journal of sorts, I suppose. The other journals are the one in your crypt in the catacombs (the stuff written on the walls), and the dodecohedron in your old room in the hall of sensates.
