El avanze hasta el norte de Italia tuvo dos momentos de traba. El primero en Enero-Mayo 1944 por tener que pasar las defensas de la linea Gustav (dominada por el Monte Cassino) y luego despues de Agosto 1944 para pasar la linea Gótica en las montañas Apeninas (?). El "breakthrough" se dió en el norte en Abril del 45, al mismo tiempo del ultimo avanze soviético en el este y de los aliados en el oeste. De hecho, los ingleses se encontraron con los guerrilleros yugoslavos en Trieste a finales del mes.

Otra especulación interesante:
Tal vez si EEUU, la URSS y GB hubieran reconocido las anexiones germandas (impensable, lo sé) de cualquier forma eventualmente se podrían haber caído los régimenes pro-nazis en varios países... Italia y Yugoslavia primeramente, Francia y Grecia enseguidita, con gobiernos socialistas o comunistas autóctonos, fuera de la esfera del fascista de Stalin.
Porque a final de cuentas el comunismo Yugoslavo tenía mas de alguna cosita que enseñarle a Stalin...
