I know I said that I would be able to post something later today, but I've been called into work at my other job. I probably won't be able to post on Thursday cause I have to pull a doubleshift, which means I can't post until Friday. I know this'll get some people pi**ed off at me, but hey, RL work calls and I must answer like the drone I am.
Apologies from me guys, my bad. |

Well, I made a new calculator.
Since the Book Publishing industry is my largest, I decided that people in nations where this is the case must be smarter, and therefore able to support a larger, more high-tech military and get a major bonus...
Pff. This is why all player-created calculators are shot down by Cerooan I.G.N.O.R.E. cannons, they are all different- each with it's own biases, usually to benefit the creator's style of nation.
(And I'm not saying that this is done out of greed- anyone can justify the bias, like I just did with Book Publishing)
The US is probably a bad example to use- no NS nation could ever achieve the complete dominance over the NS world that the US has over the RL world in terms of military might.
There is also the fact that the US running at a major loss- the federal budget went from a $236 billion surplus in fiscal year 2000 to a $521 billion projected deficit in fiscal year 2004. The US needs increased public investment (education, job-training, basic infrastructure, the environment, energy, and research & development), money from these have gone into covering tax-cuts for the rich, and the Iraq war. If the US continues as it is, its economy will collapse, and without the world's strongest economy behind it, the world's strongest military will not be able to fund wars half-way around the world.
The US military model is a poor choice, it is not-sustainable over a substantial period of time, and it is unique from any other nation.

The US has been running at a major loss since WWII, only twice has there been a surplus, once under Kennedy and once under Clinton. Republican administrations often run like this. Bush's economy is almost a mirror of Reagans, save Bush gave alot more of his tax breaks to the wealthy.
The fact is our defense spending is way down from the Reagan years. The economy weathered the tech bubble burst in just four years. The US will have to raise taxes Im sure but its economy in increasingly the world economy. Our manufacturing sector is now the major part of the economies of India and China. If the US economy collapses, the worlds goes with it.
The only real problem with the US economy right now is the sheer amount of manufacturing jobs exported to China. If we find ourselves at war with China we will find ourselves cut off from our own factories.

Raspie might 'do a Lazerus' if you're not too careful.
Actually, I doubt that he would, as he obviously doesn't have much of a life out of Apolyton. |
Not cool. Not cool at all.
Personal attacks arent neccisary.

2. By your logic, explain the former USSR. |
#1 is important. Those countries have lemonade sales as thier top private sector because thier govornments control all production.
