Ummm....did we agree no restarts?
Just my luck....after recommending we add the wheeled attribute to Conquistadors, I draw Spain! Oh, and a Spain set amongst hills and forests, with water seemingly 2 tiles north, west and east, and a wall of mountains at least 2 tiles thick to the south. Not to mention the 5 tiles of forest in my 9 tile town!
Not that I'm complaining...after all, I did start on a river.
Oh, and Dom drew Celts. Those GS don't have wheels, do they? Nice
Anyway, couldn't find Vovan's email address posted here, so have PM'd him to send it to me.

Setting aside the fact that I drew the Celts, we did agree before the game started to play random civs and starts with a map checker to make sure everything is fair. Let's give Sir Ralph a little credit and assume this game is more balanced that it initially might seem.
Then again, maybe he goofed with respect to Aqualung71's start. I'll PM him to find out.
Gallic Swordsmen still have 2 movement points and are not Wheeled because they do not require Horses to build. Same with Jags, Impi and Samurai in this mod. I asked about this before the game went up and I assumed that the lack of replies meant that everyone was fine with this (each secretly hoping for the Celts or the Japanese!).

Sent you my addy in pm. Haven't been able to access 'poly for over a week, good timing, eh?
Anyway, I'd like to find out about the victory conditions too, before we go too far, since the "flavor" of the game _might_ make domination near impossible, no?
Edit: Won't be able to play until this evening, though. Work, don't ya' know.

Oh, yay, so I'm not holding it up? Woopie!
I had to come double check where I can settle. I dislike my starting location for a very minor reason and wanted to make sure moving wouldn't help me out.
Now, to check where I can settle and what modifications we've made to other things.
I'll be ready next time it comes around. Wheee!
Edit: I was unable to reach 'poly for some time, so I missed the turn order discussion. There's no way I can play a morning turn, not with the little one already slowing down my launch into traffic.
I'm CT in the US, so GMT -6. I usually can start playing around 9pm Central (0300 GMT, if my math is right) and only have a couple of hours before it's bedtime for ducki.
Not sure how that fits with the play order, but whatever works, works. Whoever is after me, PM me your email if possible.

Sir Ralph, a quick checklist:
1. Did you set the correct victory conditions in the Multiplayer Setup screen?
2. Did you set the difficulty to Emperor (it appears as "Custom" after you load the scenario in)?
As for the civs, my opinion is that if we have the same map, we might as well have the same civs (I would say that, as the Celts!). Just assign the civs manually in the Setup screen.
Dominae: Celts
Beta: Babylon
snoopy369: Maya
Aqualung71: Spanish
vovan: Vikings
ducky: Portuguese
Edit: I suppose we vote on whether or not we want to have new civs, but this will delay the game further. How about: if 4 or more players respond saying that they want a re-roll, we re-roll.

I'm not really a fan of the Ports - I think Aqua and I are the only ones that would want to change, so no biggie. I mean, who would vote to give up GS's or 'Zerkers or, dear god, don't let me start next to Snoopy or Beta.
But it's cool. I've always wanted to be the Mouse that Roared. (Bonus points for naming the star.)

Yes, please set up the scenario as before, except at Emperor difficulty and with the standard victory conditions. Thanks!
