The Rote Armee Fraktion wasn't really a group from the 90's. Their "high time of terror" was in the late 70's where they killed for example the german "Arbeitgeberpräsident" (don't know the english word. A guy who represents the industry or so) H. M. Schleyer and made several other attacks on persons from the industry + some bankrubbings.

With the mid-80's they somehow dissapeared and some people even say that the few actions credited (sorry, the use of credited may be a bit missunderstanding, but I again don't remember a word...) to them where in reality done by state police or something like that.

But there's no proof for that.

Fact is that the hot time of RAF - terror was over since 1977 and in 1998 (or so) they sended a letter (or some guys seeing them selfs as the raf of then) to the media whitch said they where disbanding themselves.

Thanks for the data! I just remember a particular Time magazine article from 1991 mentioning them as still being more or less active. Stratch them from the list, I guess. But I'm sure the others lasted longer.

I just got your IRA gunmen. They will do nicely, I think. Thanks a lot. Now all I need is Basque and Chechen rebels (I'm not sure as to their organizations' initials, so if anyone knows, please tell me), either shields or whole units, and a good modern (2001+) Rwandan flag and shield. Thanks!

ETA, short for Euskadi Ta Askatasuna (Basque Homeland and Liberty) is the name of the Basque group. I'm not too sure if there are any specific groups in Chechnya... well, there are lots of Al Qaeda-linked groups, but I'm guessing you're not after names of Arabs fighting in Chechnya, but the actual Chechens themselves.

There are three Chechen groups on the US's blacklist of terror groups: Islamic International Brigade, the Special Purpose Islamic Regiment and the Riyadus-Salikhin Battalion.

I'm not too sure what a good shield would be for the Chechens either, there seem to be pretty conflicting accounts... some say they fly the official Chechen flag, others the Saudi flag, others a flag with a grey wolf on it...

Now that you mention it, ETA does sound familiar in that context. As for Chechens, that's exactly right; I want the names of groups of Chechen rebels as opposed to the Arabs there. If any of you can give me units, or even just shields, I'd be most grateful (even a shield based on the administrative region of Chechnya within Russia would do). Thanks!

I need the modern Rwandan flag (as of 2001). The others were just shields, but vodkakov gave me full units with those shields on the Modern Units Showcase already. I must have mistyped, but I was referring to the North American map that Steph started, which I've posted a thread looking for someone to finish it (but yet have no response). Thus, actually, only one flag. Thanks!

Okay here is my latest compilation. Sorry for the delay here guys, I wish I had the time I did back before teh summer but that is just no longer the case. In any event I will try my best to help out my fellow Civ II fans in need.

Now I wasn't able to come with a Poland Saxony flag, if you have a reference in mind to show me I'd be glad to make an attempt based on it. The same goes for the Russian flag, it was the earliest flag I could come up with. Also, there were several Prussian flags of that era I could have chosen from so it may not be what you had in mind Martin.

Sorry to be a stickler (you're accuracy with flags has been, as far as I know, unerring up to now), but that's the pre-2001 Rwandan flag. Just to help, I've attached the current flag in bitmap form from the Rwandan gov't homepage itself. I don't mean to be critical, but could you please update that flag? Thanks a lot!

Seriously though, the "R" flag was the most up to date one I found online. I guess its a flag doesn't get updated in the usual databases I check in regularily. In any case, here is both the old flag and the new flag. To be honest I like the new one better.

Could you possibly post the thread to the North American scenario? I can't believe nobody is showing interest.

I actually like the new one better too. My neighbour is a Rwandan-Canadian, and he's quite up to date on his home country, otherwise I'd likely believe the 'R' one was the current one too. Thanks for the updated flag. BTW, how do you post a thread within this forum (which, actually, was just looking for someone to finish the map, but I still got no response)?

First a complaint, Sweden's blue colors is much to dark, I guess I can change it myself though Thanks for all of the flags (and the shields I got as a bonus, great)!
The mystery flag is Holstein-Gottorp's flag, and the Prussian one you choosed is perfect. Here's a polish shield made by fairline (small edits by me) and a flag from "Casius Belli", if you could turn them into a flag and maybe update the shield so it'll match the others, I would appreciate it alot (the red colors should be more like the shield, than the flag AFAIK).
