Here's a thought Patine!! I always had trouble with the notion of Floridians on mass rising up agains the United States. After whats been a devastating hurricane season for Florida I came up with this little idea. When this takes place in the future, 10 or 20 years from now, global warming has resulted in 3 or 4 hurricanes a year becoming normal for Florida. This in turn has turned the state into a virtual third world country inside of America.
Increased preasure to ration water due to national drout's have also created tension, since I believe 70% of the states water lies in the north, but 70% of her populatoin lies in the south. I think this scenario could make Floridians question wheter the central government in Washington really has their interests in mind in rationing water nationally, as well sending aid to an economy thats been nothing short of ruined.
Let me know what you think, and post the link to the thread you started for this scenario.

First off, the thread is here:

Second, I think your ideas on Florida are great! It would certainly explain why such a rebellion would be taking place, and why they turn to Cuba for support. I thought also, probably through events, either California or Cuba-backed Florida may try to trigger a rebellion in Texas, one of the driest but richest states in the Union, but would likely only trigger a few militias to revolt (a few units created in that area) as opposed to the state openly rebelling. Conversely (or on top of that), such militias may be 'inspired' to form in other Southwestern and Southern states, where the American water crisis is probably worst. What do you think.

Yes, there would always be some "minor" uprisings in an event such as this. You could even see pro-federalist uprisings in California and Florida as well. Even anti-seperation uprisings in Alberta and Quebec.
Well, first off we need to figure out what kind of units exactly are we looking for. I guess we won't need any Commanche hellicopter units seeing how the US has discontinued that program, but we could come up with some other hypothetical units.

Well obviously the US's chief advantage is technology; American units should be better in their stats than equivalents from the other civs but, given the hypothesized budget cuts assumed in this scenario, less common than today and likely more expensive than their counterparts (though industrial giant cities in the Great Lakes region should be able to cook them up quickly and efficiently; places like Witchita, Kansas may have a harder time). Canada would face the trouble of a few units across a vast space (risking airlifts here may pay off). The five 'separatist' players have to use makeshift militias, and civilian vehicles would often be rigged for military use (as discussed previously). California does have F-15's and the older F-4E's in its National Air Guard, and likely could subourne the local Coast Guard (considering the state government is firmly entrenched in its running today), but I like the idea of rigged Hummers and Bell Rangers. The First Nations are likely to have to make due with mostly foot militia and maybe a few rigged SUV's (though giving most of their units the alpine quality may be appropriate). Western Canada and Quebec would likely rely on a backbone of volunteer infantry and rigged private jets (more for ground than air superiority, practically) and ground vehicles, but the West may also have some alpine units. Florida would be being supplied by Cuba; thus we're looking at Cold War Soviet equipment with some minor innovation. This is just an overview; some funky new model names and looks for speculative US vehicles in the next ten years could only add things. Obviously nuclear weapons aren't an issue: no American President is going to nuke US or even Canadian territory, regardless of how rebellious they're being.

Here is my Israeli flagset along with three other variants I've seen in old colour newsreel footage and on various Israeli heritage websites.
I always wanted to make a scenario where Israel was formed after the first world war and was ruled by a monarch. I tried to sell Steph on the idea for Blood and Steel Juggernaught, but he decided to go another way.

These post Warsaw alliance nations, in this scenario are they supposed to be free of communism or still under Moscow's thumb? Let me know and I'll get you a flag pronto.

Well, since there was never an official Warsaw Pact flag to begin with, I've given you three variants of a "post Warsaw Pact" flag, in addition to my own variation of Curt's original WARPAC flag from Soviet Steel. I also threw in the Polish flag for the heck of it, being the prominent Warsaw Pact nation.

Just trying to shake things up a bit, give everyone a new shield style. Now if you just paste it ontop of the normal shield in the units.gif you'll be one pixel too short, which will lead to afew coloured pixels showing through below. The solution is to reshape the master shield on the top corner to be a square as well.

Here are some flags from a proposed scenario, a gigamap scenario based on the book "How Few Remain", which was also made into a scenario by Our_Man. Hopefully this scenario will get off the ground some day soon.

No bother at all my friend, I threw in the flag of China as its hard to imagine any scenario that involves Taiwan not having China as well.

Well, I seem to remember hearing about such a flag myself, though I too have never seen it. Do you have any idea how big this crown in the flags center was? Knowing that would go a long way in rendering it out properly.

Thanks Curt, that means allot comming from a civ II master like yourself. Say, you wouldn't have happened to see this old "Empire Flag" would you have? The Union Jack with the golden crown in the center? We just have to figure out how big the crown in the middle of the jack is.
In any event, here's a compilation of Scandinavian flags plus Finland.
