Farouk Visits London
King Farouk visits the British Prime Minister to thank him for the kind invitation for greater friendship with Egypt. “It is wonderful that we should come to mind as an ally to the British nation during times of such uncertainty. We are pleased to be considered your friends, but we do not wish to do so at the cost of relations with other great nations. We can best be of help to NATO nations as an intermediary for peace and understanding.”
Egypt seeks international role
Egypt offers to send troops to observe the withdrawal of US forces from Cuba and hopes that other neutral nations will join us in this effort. We also offer our hospitality to the USA, Britain and USSR if they would like to meet outside of the UN in neutral territory.
Farouk takes time out for shoes
The king then goes shopping for shoes. While he waited for the clerk to finish sizing him up with the shoe slide rule, the king wondered at the potential of a nation whose teenagers could use such a complex device. He thought of offering the young man a job designing his dam, but changed his mind at the last minute and asked instead if the penny loafers came in burgundy.
Egypt goes ahead with dam
Outside J. Lobb the stylish King took a moment to sign autographs when he was mistaken as Ricardo Montalban. He told the elderly vacationers “Nuclear weapons and a willingness to use them may make a nation a super power, but they do not make a nation great. Greatness is the quality of a nation that has the vision to set examples that inspire the world and ask for the best from its citizens. The Farouk King Dam will be that kind of project. "
Scholarship started
A scholarship is created to send 50 students to the US to study engineering. Some of the students will be blacks and Christians from Sudan. They will train to operate the dam when it is completed.
Jobs created
Large numbers of people throughout the Sudan will be given jobs to build infistructure. Mostly roads to better unite the nation and improve access to where the dam will be built, but also schools, homes and sewage handling stuff.
Lucrative deal proposed
We hope to purchase the large machinery we will need from the USSR.
Foreign investment encouraged
The Farouk King Dam Finance Committee is formed. Its job is to find the money for our project. We will hire an advertising firm to drum up investors. We will keep it before the UN, the World Bank and all foreign nations and charities.
ntelligence agency reformed
Intelligence is strengthened substantially. While we expect that there will be many more foreigners in the country, we want to avoid becoming the secret war zone of the world. The Sudanese insurgents will not be ignored, but we will try not to escalate things there. Focusing on infiltration and surveillance.
The head of the secret police adjusted his fake glasses as he surveyed the lobby of the Cairo Hilton. The fake nose and mustache tickled as he did so, but he was Egypt’s chief spy so he took pride in his incredible discipline. He did not scratch. A large sign in the lobby said, “Welcome secret police. Meeting room C.” He had specifically asked them not to put out a sign. He would talk to Cindy in the hospitality department after the meeting about a partial refund.
Inside the conference room, the lights had been left off for security purposes. He was pleased at the opportunity to use the tiny mini mag “spy” flashlight he kept on his key chain.
The top agents would be enrolled in private investigator correspondent’s courses. “The Big Sleep” and “Maltese Falcon” would be shown continuously at secret police headquarters, and all agents would be issued library cards and urged to check out the Sherlock Holmes and Hardy Boys collections.

Mexico daily tidings
After a long absence and a lot of protesting, Mexico has decided to lift her embargo against the United States.
Mexico has begun a massive militarization campaign focused on defense and border fortification. All people entering and leaving Mexico go through a very strict screening process, to ensure safety.
Much of the power and resources of the Mexican government are being temporarily given over to the central govt., until it is again deemed safe to do so. Mexico has also declared a state of martial law.
The Mexican government has also temporarily taken over the means of production, so as to temporarily increase efficiency. The majority of the able bodied are being recruited into the Mexican Military, and are quickly being turned into fine physical specimens, ready for combat at any moment.
Those who have not been enlisted in the military, and are too poor or homeless to present a profit to Mexico, have been relocated into employment camps. There they enjoy working day after day performing the manual labor that must be done to keep mother Mexico afloat. They are paid with a place to stay, and food to eat.
Scholars and the more brainy types have been relocates to learning centers and think tanks, where they learn an help to invent and study for the Mexican Empire.
Things are picking up in Mexico, and prosperity is hopefully just around the corner with the new reforms put in place by Newly elected Mexican leader Cheech Marin.
